Also the exact wording was: "the best spring classics rider there is", so it's rather ambiguous.

Meh, people were amazed by Tom's performance this year, because he started to perform in a Fabianesque manner for the first time.

And before someone gets upset, Tom is a very good rider - he just hadn't displayed an ability to TT against a peloton for that long before. Fabian clearly has, so I don't see how Tom showed anything which should scare Fabian too much.

Boonen can be strong enough to follow Cancellara and then out sprint him. Would not be the first time its happened to Cancellara.
