Meh, people were amazed by Tom's performance this year, because he started to perform in a Fabianesque manner for the first time.

And before someone gets upset, Tom is a very good rider - he just hadn't displayed an ability to TT against a peloton for that long before. Fabian clearly has, so I don't see how Tom showed anything which should scare Fabian too much.

3 out of 7 of Boonen's monument victories were solo(for someone who doesn't have to do that to win, unlike Cancellara). Before 2010 there never was a question about who was better anyway - it was clear to anyone. Anyway, a sprint is a more dangerous weapon than being able to "TT against the peloton".
