Awesome.

That was a proper wield of the banhammer.

Back ot topic, Yes, now we will see if he has anything left to attack with, he won't win by just sitting there, and there is no guarantee that he will gain time on the final TT

But you did not want to talk about the topic. You wanted to talk about me.

I'm not sure what you mean by the last quote. All of them looked good on the cobbles today. And yes, LA did a good ride to limit his losses. Had he not punctured, he would have stayed with the AC/Vino group.

He would have, but the narrative before today was about how Contador wouldn't do well today, and how Armstrong was better on cobbles, etc. What I saw was that Contador got caught further out than Lance, and he bridged up to Lance's group over cobbles. Seems to me that maybe the pre-race assessment of their differing chances was incorrect. In fact, judging by the results and the rides by both, it was certainly incorrect.

Well,

That's an interesting question...........

Maybe the admins can answer that one.

Not speaking for the Admins/mods but it certainly is not for no reason. BPC must have gone through 100+ usernames by now and doesnt even hide the fact anymore, he simply comes on checks who is online pick on their post and bait them. ..... I am sure he will be back shortly.

Martin,

I do understand your position. You have to delete my posts because you need to remove the evidence that I was not trolling.

Another person who is more interested in me than the topic.

Can you tell me what the reason was I was banned?

Why is it trolling to point out that it is trite to use pictures of Africans to make a point? So you believe nobody should be allowed to complain about anything because their are starving Africans? It's a silly point.

I disagree. LA did not look very comfortable and he was already floating towrads the back of his group leaving gaps along the way. I don't think he would/could stay with FC driving his group. The only way LA stays with AC on this stage is with AC's wheel/spoke problem. Not being able to ride away from flyweights on the stones is not a good omen. If he can't hang on this stage he will likely be in trouble when the race gets to the business end.

My opinion.

There were definitely a couple of times when he was getting beat around pretty good. There is a reason he never rode P-R, and today we could see that reason on display.

Just so people are aware:

I do not have rights to ban (yet). I am running a query and deleting every post by The Gambler (BPC) until one of the other mods is able to delete his account.

This is NOT because of any minor infraction such as trolling, it is because BPC has spectacularly broken forum rules in numerous guises for several months.

Back to talking about the stage. :)

It would be interesting to see the what the European narrative was. Maybe it was different from the what we hear in the US through Versus. Versus is so pro Lance.

At this point it's just fun to see how fast you can come back. Do you have like...a macro...set up to create the email address, confirm the address, register a random name, accept the email....

have you ever timed yourself?

Which rule have I broken, apart from the one about bannings?

Don't worry, you will be able to remove the evidence. There is no need to make up stuff in case someone is watching.

Well, because my posts get deleted so quick it means I have to come back more. For the first time I've considered setting up a load of accounts beforehand, but, this may sound weird, I'm too lazy. Unless I have a point to make then I don't set up the account.

The mods have gotten better at hiding the evidence now so it's easier for them to pretend I've broken some rules or some crap.

He's talking about the different account names. There has been a couple of times last week where I came back repeatedly to finish the point.

BBy coming back you are breaking rules.

How can you not see this?

I don't ask this to be hateful. I genuinely am concerned about your mental health. Are you on some sort of med like Prozac? What is it that you get out of this? are you violent?

It's a petty technicality and we all know it. They haven't perma banned other people that come back.

Anyway this is really funny - I've got TFF in PM telling me that he is better than me. This really frustrates me apparently.

This is the guy that crys to the mods every time I make a point against him and he threatens to beat me up. He won't even defend his 'showing Africans' as to why pro cyclists are pussies point.

I have just skimmed the thread (only took ... hours - think of a figure and double it!). Some great commentary and for a good part without derailing. Nothing like an epic stage get us all focussing on the racing.

A couple of oddities for me:-

- In all those posts no chapeau to Cancellara other than the implication that he is expected to turn in superhuman efforts all the time e.g. his group were motor pacing (perhaps we will have to morph Spartacus into Parforthecourse). I suspect there were points where he could have just ridden away a la the classics but for the need to tow Andy. Cuddles and AS did work but FC did a very large percentage of it.

- The other - Robbie McEwen 14th! He's back!. With Thor winning (but not a surprise given his classics/Roubaix form) and Cav and Petacchi in the group after Robbie's the sprinters did pretty well. But so did some climbers. Are cobbles the levellers for all but the specialists?

There was such a fuss made on this forum and in the media about how the lighter riders would suffer yet Contador and Schleck (and Evans who is no heavyweight) proved that incorrect and riders like Hincapie and Armstrong suffered.

We expect it from FC. It's the batteries!

I wonder where AC would have ended up had he not had the brake rub/wheel out of true/spoke/flat. I am an AC fan.

I suppose AS fans must wonder the same about him if he didn't crash yesterday or Frank crash out today.

FC is impressive. I am more impressed by the year (or 9 months) Evans has had. Could be a fight for the top step after all.

Yeah so anyway, what is so controversial about saying, love him or hate him, you have to admire the grace with which Armstrong has taken today's event, and admire the extraordinary attack he made to get back.

I think it is a shame that the fans have perhaps been denied the fight between the two most popular riders in the world, who got the biggest cheers at the ITT start ramp. AC was always likely to come out tops but a little more suspense was required.

That didn't hurt, did it?

But no one has to talk to him. I can take it or leave it, turn the ignore on and off. If he was just disregarded, there wouldn't be that many. I think it probably FEELS like 100 bannings. It seems like a ridiculous number, but somewhere in the database, they can go thru and count 'em up. I think 20 maybe 30.

Oh no, you haven't been here long enough.

20 or 30 since the Giro

Actually, I have to admit that I was surprised about Andy and Contador especially. I really did think the shots of them on cobbles would look like they had jackhammers for wheels (exaggeration), but they were both much more smooth than I would have expected.
