But he's working some Vaughters sideburns. Maybe trying to get on Garmin next year. :D :p

4 stages and we haven't had any Karpets puns so far. And now the mullet is gone, too. I miss the Giro already.

it takes a special kind of **** to refer to themselves in the third person. Mate, you give Oz a bad name. Calm down.

But I am the idiot, not contributing poster on this forum who knows nothing at all about the sport so somebody has to keep my self esteem up.

Did anyone notice how Cav stopped pedalling as soon as he saw people on either side? He didn't even try to sprint for points, he looked more like a deer caught in headlights. Not only that but he just looked stiff and uncomfortable in the extreme.

I think his head space for sprinting has been shattered by his crash with Hausler. He could have the best legs in the world and I don't think it would make any difference, I think he's scared of another crash.

Cav has already given up on the Green.... and I don't expect him to make it Paris!

I did expect him to win a couple of stages during this Tour - Im having to reccess that after today.

How about McEwan? He seems to be in the mix for the green jersey at this stage, but I haven't actually seen any of his sprinting yet (I blame the incredibly low res feed I had today).

Does anyone think he has a chance to keep it going?

No, he does not have a chance. He is smart and experienced and still in mix 300 m to go, but after this, he does not have legs anymore.

flat tire. Not sure if it was within the 3km or not though. I think it was within the 3km, so he should be ok. And thus probably just took it easy to the line.

Manx Mixxile?

:D LOL, but too many vowels. That actually looks somewhat pronouceable to an anglophone, and therefore, not Basque.

(No offense meant to anyone from the Basque lands.)

ACF, I thought Sicard was a Frenchman from the Basque area - Basque ethnicity covering parts of Spain and France. Is that wrong?

Gesink should get that back if it was all from having the flat tire in the last 1K. Unlike Alberto yesterday who kept going and didn't get the time back. I think.

Read CN report.

179 Robert Gesink (Ned) Rabobank 2:08

Koos was with him

official result:

178. BURGHARDT Marcus 124 BMC RACING TEAM 3h 37' 03" + 02' 08"
179. GESINK Robert 195 RABOBANK 3h 34' 55" + 00' 00"
180. MOERENHOUT Koos 196 RABOBANK 3h 37' 03" + 02' 08"

don't know why, but it must have to do something with the 3km rule (even if he didn't crash)

He is from basque, do not be fooled by the little french flag -- meaning he is from the french basque region. They're not all Spanish ;)

Thats not the first time acf has made such a mistake. As i recall he taunted someone from the UK about england losing at football (unaware of the fact that a british person can also come from scotland wales or nir)

EBH looked very strong today, jumped with Peta but was boxed in, with a bit more sprinters nous he could have won today
