Nice win Dan Martin,

Great riding Froome dog! 140km on his own, mentally he is very tough and another reason he is so much better than Wiggins. :D

Don't think Valverde or Contador had the legs to attack.

Thanks for the lift Movistar!!

Well done Martin. Garmin deserved a win. Good stage. Had its share of entertainment. Especially in the first hour when Skyborg was destroyed. But Moviborg took over. Nothing much changed for Froome.

Of course not. What if they weren't good enough?

I was about to throw something at TV when they were at the flat part of the course, they kept on pulling Froome all day long

Um, that's what most of the teams in the race are. Not everybody can win the tour.

You trolls having a dig at Movistar

It takes more than 1 day to dislodge Froome. They obviously didn't have the legs either. They tried, they showed promise, and they will try again in the third week.

You're all being harsh on them and it comes down to trolling because surely you all can see that what they did today was a step forward. Rome wasn't built in a day!

So before the race we feared this would be a stage where the break got it and the GC men all came to the line together. At 100km to go it looked like being a legendary stage in the making.

In the end we got a stage where the break got it and the GC men all came to the line together.

Great to see that Porte has rediscovered his 2010/11 climbing form. Hope he can keep it for the rest of the Tour and year.

Surprising that Porte was completely destroyed.

And Quintana should be leader of movistar , I mean Valverde didn't even try once. Didn't he said that he wants to win the Tour ?

Maybe he'll tell is the other teams shouldn't attack? Because the Sky train will eat them.

He's such a fool.

So IloveCycling, as I said don't celebrate victory until it's won.

Congratulations to Dan Martin and Fuglsang, well ridden!

Valverde is a gutless rider in GTs.

And 1-day races for that matter.
