Not sure if Super February Quintana or just a normal Quintana in a small February race with a weak climbing field.

Quintana is such a joy to watch when he's climbing like this.
Very promising performances from a few youngsters (Van Wilder, Jorgenson, Skjelmose).
Ganna only losing 40" seconds to this group is pretty impressive considering his weight.
You're right about everything.
Nairoman looks great on the bike and isn't afraid to just put the hammer down.

Quintana had this race won from day 2 - He looked in tip top shape from the beginning of the race - Surely, Quintana rides the Giro.

Absolutely. However, it cannot hurt and builds his confidence after a weak year trying to recover from his accident and knee surgery.

Looking like he is in similar form to what he had in early 2020. He was going great back then. Shame that season turned into what it turned into, because of covid.

Hope he has a great year.

Even with COVID, he was sharp in the early going of the delayed 2020 Tour before his series of crashes. On the 1st decisive climb (when Pogacar rode away and set a time record), it was Pog, Roglic, and Quintana together having distanced all the others. Went Pog launched his decisive attack, Roglic famously let him go (“let someone else chase my countryman”) and Quintana clearly was focused on staying with Roglic there. Always wondered if those two had responded to the attack how long they could have stayed with Pogacar (although neither was going to beat him that day)?

Funny thing when Quintana attacked first and Ala went for him and catched him. Quintana then proceeded to move his elbow (as usual) but quickly realized that he had to go again and again to win the race.

That elbow move is starting to look like a tic!! :D
