So probably it will be Ackermann against Groenewegen today!
the Katowice downhill sprint is always good for a surprise though. Seems to be more down to proper timing and the right gear, than normal sprint capabilities.

Would be smart if the opportunity is there to assist Knox and Almeida as an advance payment for them slaving for Remco in the Giro.

Not sure either of them can win here either. These climbs are too easy and a lot of punchers will survive and take bonis at the line. And yes, Almeida isn't riding here.

Yes I agree it’s not likely as a Wellens or Schachmann type is more likely to win a punchy sprint in the final 500 metres. Was just referring to the concept that rewarding your super domestique is a good way to keep their loyalty when needed.

on paper, yes, but with all eyes on them, there will probably be opportunities to send a team mate up the road late in stage 4

Jakobsen had that in the bag. Groenewegen just drove him straight in the barriers.

At least that's what it looked like live.
