this may sound a bit cliche but i think tomorrow costa can go 1 up and win the stage. he looks to be superb shape, and the hill (where i bet all my money he and rolland will attack :p) should be enough to drop every1 faster then him.

We will see at the Tour, that seems to be his motivation. I dont think he can return to his former level, but he could still be a good All-Rounder. You mentioned Horner with health issues. I know my point that i am going to say now will not be valid in 2012. But Kash was out for 3 years, he returned finished 18th in the Vuelta. After only racing San Sebastian. So i think he will do "good" at the Tour, considering it's his motivation.

Time will tell though
As you say, I'll remember your words. And you're reight about validity od that fact. Now Kash looks bit silly after those statements he made and couldn't prove. But yeah, give it to the hands of future. Is seems there is only one rider in Astana capable of making some impact on GT, so it would be fine if they could find another one, even if I don't like Kash very much and in fact I don't believe that he'll make something at Tour.
Btw. apparently somebody answers only questions he likes.

Yesterday was good, today was dull, couple of decent days coming up and a GC deciding tough TT. As good as it gets for Romandie tbh

You mean as good as it gets in recent years. There were editions with a road stage MTF (or even 2), a lumpy road stage that can split up the field in the first couple of days and/or a difficult stage in the Rhone valley around Sion.

Take 2006 for example, a hilly stage with the col de la Croix, a MTF at Leysin going all the way from Aigle (unlike the truncated version last year) and a stage round Sion with Ovronnaz, Basse-Nendaz-Veysonnaz and Crans-Montana. Not to mention the Lausanne TT.

One last thing. I agree that Kash talks a lot of crap. One reason i did not mention this is that this year, he is more "down to earth". Even Vinokourov was out bashing Kash. And i realy dont like that he does not speak with his "legs", and i can see that it's anoying, i even find it.... Painfull to read interviews with him. But this year he is more.... Down to earth.

My faith in Kash is more fanboy-ish than real.

On another subject. Costa FTW tomorow.

Think it's the same finish as 2002 / 2007

2002 Small peloton came to the final climb - Frigo skipped clear on the hill and won.

2007 Break of 3 went all the way - nothing happened behind (70+ rider peloton with no time gaps)

Ah yes, now I remember, if it's the same as 2007. It's a non-steep hill of around 5%. And the last few 100m are only slightly uphill / flat.

During the prologue, Ole Kristian Stoltenberg (Norwegian commentator) asked Mads Kaggestad if he had not been teammates with Kash? Mads answered that they were indeed teammates in Credit Agricole for a year, and added that they were even roommates...but, as he said "only because everyone else refused to live with him" :p

Cav may well be the worst climber in the peloton, but the last stage didn't prove it, as the climb started he had a mechanical. I'm actually impressed he finished.

Really, this year until now I haven't read some of those craps so he calmed down, yes. Here you have video of prologue with Kash http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NrV1iLJ7nTI :)
What would you consider as "doing good" for him at TdF?

It all depends on Kash's heead, he got the talent to top 10 a tour no question about it, but he doesn't look like he really want to suffer that much on the bike anymore :(

Realisticly if he gets a free role i would consider good a top 15. Thanks for the video by the way.

Not to make this a Kash thread ;)
But is it just me or is Kash looking bigger than he used to be?
I would guess atleast 5-7 kg heavier

He is taking it easy to recover from his knee injury. When he got "dropped" from the peloton he looked as if he had a BPM of about 60, so I wouldn't read too much into it.

Yep I agree, he is just using this as training for the Giro.
