It's the battle of the Yates brothers. But other then them there are also an ssortment of other GC talent. Higuita, Bardet and Lutsenko have all been in great form.
Also the long awaited return of young Juan Ayuso, who was 3rd last year in the Vuelta at the age of 19.
Last year it was Vlasov who blitzed the final mountain ITT and beat Rohan Dennis for the win.

Notable GC mentions: Higuita, Simon Yates, Adam Yates, Bardet, Pinot, Jorgenson, Herrada, Lutsenko, Ayuso, Costa, Woods, Foss, Izagirre
Notable sprinters: Hayter, Gaviria, Cort, Cavendish, Nizzolo

Only three important stages the prologue/ITT and stage 4 - The rest should finish in reduced bunch sprints.

I guess only stage 1 is really for the sprinters. Stage 5 features enough climbing and false flat downhill that the breakaway could make it. If Küng was riding this one this would be the stage for a Küng breakaway win, probably with rainy weather.

Not sure who has a realistic chance of winning, but I'll be rooting for Magnus Cort (providing he still has his awesome 80s pornstache), and I'm curious how Froome and Cav will do.

I guess Mäder will be the main gc rider for Bahrain in this race since he's Swiss, while for Caruso it's more about getting ready for the Giro.
