So congrats to Lenny on this victory. Almeida in pole position ahead of tomorrow. Remco lost substantial time today but he will try to show himself in the TT tomorrow.
Nah, he was about to get dropped himself and figured he might as well help Lecerf.he literally went back with Lecerf dropped, and he did not blow up like he does when he gets dropped.
He was on donkey duty today
So you think QS and Remco didn't want to win the Romandie if they could? You're joking, right? How is that plausible? He isn't good enough it's as simple as that.
No he wasn't.he literally went back with Lecerf dropped, and he did not blow up like he does when he gets dropped.

That's not really true. Both can ride a TT that is very close to the best GC TT'ers. But both can also ride TT's that are subpar. They both have a fairly high TT ceiling, but neither is very consistent imho.Does he? Vine is the better TT'er
Lenny.Did Lecerf keep the young rider jersey?

It looks like they banned chalets for this resort and went with the ugly "mod" French style for alpine resortsor build a sweet chalet!
Yeha, he would have to put in a performance a million times better than what he can do, lol. No chance at all of even staying on the podium.Fortunato would need to do the TT of his life to win GC, Almeida has to be the favourite but Vine also has a chance.
It's a better look for him than just getting dropped on his own. He is very preoccupied with appearances.who knows what QS are smoking.
There is no reason why Remco was doing the pacing today. None
He should have finished with Carolos Rodrigues today, not nursing Lecerf
He never had it. Yesterday behind Baudin, today behind Martinez.Did Lecerf keep the young rider jersey?
This is Remco's style of climbing. He is pacing himself.who knows what QS are smoking.

Are you sure QS are the ones smoking?who knows what QS are smoking.

it was probably both. I dont think he would have finished with Vine and CRod but he was the best after those guysHe was not "playing dom," he was about to get dropped himself.
I don't think he was better than Nordhagen.it was probably both. I dont think he would have finished with Vine and CRod but he was the best after those guys
About to say Vine has beaten Almeida twice vs seven for Almeida. Only way Vine overcomes Almeida is if his form is declining or a crash/mechanical.That's not really true. Both can ride a TT that is very close to the best GC TT'ers. But both can also ride TT's that are subpar. They both have a fairly high TT ceiling, but neither is very consistent imho.
Historically, Almeida has finished ahead a lot more in H2H.

Surely it's not that difficult to understand. He was not good enough, he knew he wasn't good enough. So instead of finishing 9th at 1m10 on the day, he helped out Lecerf and finished 11th at 1m29. He wasn't going to win GC, so he had nothing to lose (he doesn't care whether he finished 5th or 7th in GC). Just try and win the TT now.who knows what QS are smoking.

seems like it was Almeida who was foolish in that regard--if he refused to work and they slowed then Vine would come back to them, allowing them to do the 1-2 attacks toward the finish. I don't know if that would have changed the result but wouldn't that have been the proper strategy?Martinez foolish to do a turn because Almeida will pull regardless
