5th stage finishing at Thyon 2000 looks a monster. Almeida to win this.
I can also imagine a decent Vine. He is building up towards the Giro, probably had altitude camp, and I would think Almeida is getting worse due to a long spring season. Then again UAE riders don't seem to feel that effect.

Pre-race interview Evenepoel about today:
According to Lennert Van Eetvelt, Evenepoel would like to race immediately. "Is that so? We didn't even talk about that this morning", laughs the double Olympic champion.

"We have Casper Pedersen here who can do a decent sprint. Although there are guys here who can show even better credentials. The initiative will not come from us."

"The run-up to the final kilometers will be important. A bit like the run-up to La Redoute in Liège. So hopefully we will do better than last Sunday", he says with a wink.

"We just have to be well grouped and neutralize late attacks. There are bonuses, so if there is an attack, I will have to go along. But we are not going to take too many risks."

Today's stage finish in Fribourg.
Spare a thought for that guy, who was so bothered by Rob Hatch correctly pronouncing the name, he had to make a whole thread about it.
Was that the same guy who thought his pronunciation of Como sounded like Cornwall?

So today's coverage is set to begin shortly after the last climb?
I think so, somewhere around that moment in the race. Maybe if they catch the front group we can see GC riders battle for those two intermediate sprints, otherwise it's waiting until the last few kilometers

Evenepoel is riding in the jersey for youngsters, but he's already 25 years old. I thought this jersey was [0-24]?

Fun following a race on PCS, isn't it? :(

SRF won't start their stream for another hour and they still have 123km to go, but they're about to climb Mont-Crosin. The speed of the climbing is a huge variable, but up until now the average speed has been 41km/h. So how long before they get to the last climb if we are to at least catch that...

Sounds like an algebra problem back from high school!

Live coverage starts in about 15mins and they're about to climb Col des Pontins, with any luck we should at least be able to catch the last climb. (Heh, according to my calculations anyway.)

So injured he did insanely good in Fleche and pretty good yesterday? No, does not make sense at all.
Not sense: Pogacar TDF 2023, Vingegaard TDF 2024.

FW one day. This become noticeable when you have consecutive days of competition.

I was assuming guys doing the Giro would be peaking for a few weeks so might not be too pushed now
