I think 1:30 can be enough for Paret-Peintre to get over the top with Pogi, but they will probably lose a bit more on this pedalling descent.

I think Romandie's race owners called Gianetti last winter and asked him to bring Pog (maybe both Suisse and Romandie had a word with Gianetti) to get his rider help the Swiss races, Gianetti is Swiss.

Don’t know that I’d come to that conclusion. Not like he doesn’t chase down breaks and try to win every chance he gets.
I might have read something that wasn’t there, but I read that as specific to Roglic. As in he specifically wouldn’t let Roglic to win.

There’s a lot of talk about various blacklists (Jorgenson and so on), which, if true, does reveal a different side of him than the one he very expertly presents. But Roglic would be surprising since they seem to chat amiably and Rog mentored and protected him a little too much in that 2020 Tour in retrospect.

Some day, a 36 year old Pogi will be in the breakaway in the Alps and Paul Seixas will ride him down mercilessly... turning his hopes and dreams to ash... and he will know the debt is paid (okay that's a misquote from Game of Thrones but whatever).
