Otherwise known as the races nobody else really gives a crap about:rolleyes:

Its one thing to beat up on cyclo tourists while riding for Mellow Johnnies in the Tour of Gilla, its another to beat Contador and Nibali, 2 riders who try in every race they attend, in San Luis Tour.

lol @people making a big deal about Leipheimer beating Contador today.

Hello... 4 others did that too. Including Chavanel and Nazaret... with all due respect.

Working in a research lab and a participant comes in 2 minutes before Contador is to start and leaves 2 minutes after Contador finishes. I cannot believe I listened to those crazy announcers and did not get to hear them on Alberto, shame. :(

Hmm Hitch. Two things are coming across in your posts in this thread. And I am a bit surprised by one but not the other.

Kudos to Bottle! Sorry, I wasn't around for all of the excitement. Bummed about AC, but at least this time he wasn't completely sandbagging us.:p I expect his next race (if there is a next race) will be much better.

So we hear from some of the Contador fans that Alberto is in awful shape yet many other times we hear he has great base form? Please explain...

Great ride by Nibali. To beat Schumacher by 15 seconds and to only lose 23 to Levi is indicative of the fact he has been working on his ITT. I really think he should go to the TDF.

Great ride by Leipheimer ( more CQ points for him ) and i was considering getting him for this year.

What is to explain? Your words of awful and great are stupid and nobody has suggested either. His ride yesterday and today suggest he has both bottom line good shape and form for January.

Go read past pages and you will see them. "Bottom line good shape" is certainly not awful.

The Hitch, the theory about Contador whos stronger TT'er than Evans is still valid?

i believe it still is, this itt hardly proves anything other then contador wasn't sandbagging when he said he was in bad shape. levi is famous for being in top shape in the early season and nibali and chavanel are always in some decent shape any time of the year, just like contador but neither of those 2 had some serious issues to take care during the off season so they were 100% focused on training.

Of course it is, it's January. Evans hasn't even raced yet.

So, Contador being 6th in this TT shows that he's no longer good in TT's, yes? Well in Dauphine last year (which, by the way, is NOT in January) Evans was 6th in the TT too - approximately 2 minutes slower than the time he got in TDF after 3 weeks of racing.

Since you apparantly can improve by 2 minutes from June to July then I wouldn't be worried about Contador being 6th in January
