Dangerous finish! Nice try from Cooke! (was it him), and a good effort from Swift as well.

Farrar, Petacchi - Nowhere to be seen.

I'm glad that Sky didn't win. Hopefully, the ease with which Sagan destroyed Swift will give them some pause the next time they think about chasing for him. It probably won't though. Somebody seems to have implanted "ruin every race" chips in their rider's heads.

Did u notice sagan placing foot on ground on 2nd last corner? Still wins it

still wins it? i wouldn't be very surprised if he did that on purpose to take the corner faster

Impressive that there were no crashes, with those corners and wet roads. It was slalom.

Yes, designing a sprint finish like that just before the Tour is just asking to ruin some rider's season.

Cooke is used to it:

1. [SVK] SAGAN Peter LIQ 3h10'44" 25
2. [AUS] COOKE Baden GEC 15
3. [NED] SLAGTER Tom Jelte RAB 10
4. [FRA] GALLOPIN Tony RNT 5
5. [LTU] NAVARDAUSKAS Ramunas GRM 3

They were actually working for Davis, but as it happened he wasn't with Cooke. Albasini did an absolute monster turn before Cooke which is what strung it out so much. A bit easy for Sagan in the end though.

Tomorrow maybe. Stage 5 Wednesday, I think will offer up a battle on the GC and leave him behind. If not, then he's back again.

well sagan state before, that he's going to test his climbing abilities here, so he will certainly not do anything like yesterday when there is a pretty good chance for him

Good ride by swift considering he's coming back from injury at the start of the Giro and having concentrated on the track at the start of the year.
