Spilak just started his sprint a bit too early. They weren't able to really distance Lopez, that could hurt them in the 2nd half of the race.
He is already more than a minute and a half behind.
Yeah, I kinda forgot about that horrible prologue.

Long time ago Ion was this poor. :surprised: Well, also first time going as a GT leader of course.

Warbasse is one of those talents that has slipped through the pack. I was surprised Vaughters didn't snatch him up last year. He may not win a GT, but he's not pack fodder.

Ion was Movistar designated leader for the 2015 Giro. But I understand nobody remembers he did a TJ.

Dunno what Eiking was doing, but it was odd.

Come on! Somebody had to make that joke.

Kinda surprised that no one noticed that gem. But count on me for that one !

Also for GC back then? Anyway he is not the same rider nowadays I'd say.

He still had a great spring, Paris - Nice, Pais Vasco, the Ardennes classics and Romandie, all great results. The Swiss commentators suggested that he might dislike the heat, but I don't know about that.

That's what I meant. :) I wonder if you should compare him with the rider 2 years ago.

First WT win for a PCT team this year! Would've never put my money on Aqua Blue Sport.
