Wait why aren't they racing what's going on
You‘d think this would be the stage for Torstein Train…Teams must have been a bit nervous having to take the car train to the start, I guess - but the bikes did fit

Meeus said 10%, which actually could be an issue for some, I guess. But no idea where that number came from.So 9 minutes on a 7km climb?
Please
Seems like Skjelmose blows (in the) hot and cold.Meeus said 10%, which actually could be an issue for some, I guess. But no idea where that number came from.
Trek doesn't know what the problem with Skjelmose was yesterday, btw. Andersen thinks it could be related to the unexpected "heat"

I understand shortening the stage because of the big pass. But what about the finish? why did they shorten that finish? wasn't high enough and there wasn't a descend at the end.![]()
was announced last week already, though. Roads are closed, so teams took the train.
They did not shorten the finish. The km markers at the end are a bit of a mess.I understand shortening the stage because of the big pass. But what about the finish? why did they shorten that finish? wasn't high enough and there wasn't a descend at the end.
Why are Brian Smith and Carlton Kirby thinking this is a breakaway stage? Is this stage an uncontrollable 290 km slog?
They all rolled out and reformed ... as would be expected! (lots of forum jokes about start your engines and why not do a Le Mans type start with riders running to their bikes) Quintana had 2 punctures changed bikes and still won (if I remember correctly)I didn't see this stage but from what I read things did not go as the race organizers had envisioned. The F1 start started out as a novel and maybe even exciting idea, but once the race actually got going the peloton organized and re-shuffled itself right back to the way it likes it, so ultimately there were no surprise winners.
Is this basically how it all went down?
With Discovery Plus I can switch to Danish commentary whenever Kirby is on. So I will no longer need to complain about him, and my blood pressure can stay at normal levels all through the race. Life is good. Why are Brian Smith and Carlton Kirby thinking this is a breakaway stage? Is this stage an uncontrollable 290 km slog?
I am trying to enhance my Dutch skills now, but I don‘t understand anything. Sadly can‘t put on Danish for some reason. With Discovery Plus I can switch to Danish commentary whenever Kirby is on. his schedule is olympics, vuelta, world's, lombardia so the not in top condition performance makes senseIt would be one thing if he was preparing to ride the Tour for the gc and using this as a training ride.
Good luck! Cycling commentary is actually a good source for a bit of language learning, I've found. Using a bit of familiarity with German as a base, I've watched enough Sporza through the years to have a rough understanding of most of the things they're talking about.I am trying to enhance my Dutch skills now, but I don‘t understand anything. Well, not really. He's used to racing wide open, cross eyed for 1-1.5 hours, not coasting downhill for an hours before playing chess on a 7 KM climb.Funny how the CX and MTB guy is the one who claims a one-hour race is a waste of time.
Just started watching. Was he dropped on the descent??Riccitello dropped. This doesn't quite seem to be his kind of terrain
