Group 2 syndrome may have a bigger impact than that.
I think João is counting on that.

Don't think there will be a massive G2 syndrome. Everybody have some interest in riding, and it's not like it's a 1-day race where it's all in for the win. But Almeida is out and out the strongest in the race, so he's got that going for him. Still think the gap will go slightly the wrong way for him.

That's because they were in the flattish part of the descent. You can check out PCSs live feed to the rather exactly where on the descent there are.

His main problem was riding with his hands on the hoods, not on the drops while going downhill.
With the amount of wins on Swiss soil he's turning into the new Rui Costa (I just realized yesterday that the guy is still riding)

A few mintes ago the TV screen said it's 33 curves left. But who knows what count's as a curve and how much of the descent they count.
