But it’s not clear to me who of them will be able to gain time tomorrow.I think Quintana is going to hold on but Wellens is impressive.
Wellens now the favorite to win the Tour de France.
Today's attack could be miss-leading because he needed to attack in the steep section. He knew it and Tim knew it as well. After that was a catch up race that was won by Tim Wellens. Quintana really didn't have any choice but to go early.Entertaining stage. There's a pattern with Quintana attacking early on climbs in those smaller stage races early in the season. Hopefully he'll continue to do the same also later in the season in bigger races. I'm curious to see him on Turini in P-N against a stronger climbing field.
