GreenEdge sent mail to their supporters list before the race - was actually quite informative.

They think the finish of this stage is likely to be a bit tough for the pure sprinters.

It's not like Boonen is a fair sprinter tho... if he is threatened he always changes line as well.

It's a normal (top) sprinter thing imho.

I never said Boonen was a fair sprinter though. He has a weird sprinting style in that he moves his bike a lot and yeah that can be dangerous. Not every sprinter is dangerous though, Greipel imo is pretty fair one. Petacchi as well before he lost his topspeed.

But some are more dangerous than others and Feillu definitely is dangerous. From the couple of times I've seen Van Hummel sprint he aways changed his line drastically. Last moment I can remember is at the last stage of the Tour of Belgium. I also remember an incident at the Tour of Turkey last year.

I hope so. GreenEdge will want to make it hard today along with BMC, Garmin, Movistar & possibly Sky for EBH.

My tip for today (if he isn't too hurt from his crash) is Heinrich Haussler.

Ah, but will it be for Rojas, or are they going to try to make it really difficult and see Ally Vally home?

Valverde triumphant on his return on Aussie soil... I'm getting choked up... the only way to make it better would be if you were there to witness it in person :p

I have people out on course for Wilunga who will be sabotaging Valverde at every possible opportunity and they are making sure that the neutral service car doesn't have the wheels he needs for a wheel change. And Libertine, out sabotage plans are called "Operacion Puerto 2.0 - Sabotage Valverde" :D

EDIT: Hopefully it is hard enough for Greg van Avermaet or possibly Alessandro Ballan. BMC should put Ballan in the break to get some seconds as he will struggle to get seconds in the finish.

Most importantly, which UniSA rider will start todays suicide break? I'll vote Norris chasing the climbers jersey.

Rojas ftw

However I question if he may have some similiraties with tgbm, gifting victoires to his peers on a consistant basis?

GVA should be a very good option for this. He's placed high in bunch sprints before, but trickier stuff is for him. This isn't tricky enough that the more lightweight puncheurs would be successful, but is tricky enough to dislodge the purest of sprinters.

The day Rabobank won't fail during the sprints in major World Tour races I'll be astonished. :)
