Seriously impressed with le Mevel and Fedrigo, the pace of the finale showed by how far down the yellow jersey and AG2R were. Fedrigo will be a marked card for the classics, would be great to see him do something in those, some serious form there with being on the attack and then getting in the top 3 on such a hard finish (22% gradient at some points?). Well done to the Endura guys, most of whom are in their first year without a 'real' job, I think a couple of them still work full time and are racing in this kind of company, chapeau.

Huh? Nocentini was the red hot favourite for this stage, so why would he have been in the break?

No I saw some of the results of the top 10 and thought it didn't really have many of the big guns in there. That's why I made that assumption!
