I know my stream is way late..and it has been said before..but Sagan really needs to get into a wind tunnel:eek:

I think Liquigas needs to ensure that their riders train more on TT, they are all becoming really bad at it compared to the rest of the top riders

Once again the ITT has basically culled the possible GC winners down to next to nothing.
I can't see the final 2 stages offering up more than a handful of seconds.

ACF has another hero to cheer and get all misty eyed over.

Nope, not this one - he's from Tasmania

It's a bit sad ....

It's a bit sad when a young rider punches a bit above his level and get's a fantastic and unexpected stage win and the resident bores don't really acknowledge that.

It's a great result for him. But taking a minute in 15 k on all those strong TT-ers with all circumstances being the same... not very likely. He even acknowledges it himself. You don't have to be a resident bore for that.

I've seen the stage and there were only a few drops, so that's not the reason.

I daresay Valverde, Menchov etc even rode completely dry. The few drops that did fell only came near the end when Pinotti cs were on the road

I would think the resident bores will sit up, take notice and keep an eye on the young man, in his forthcoming Giro debut.
If he continues to ride impressively, he will get acknowledged, a la Sagan.

So what you are saying, if I am correct, is that Richie Porte is the new Bernard Hinault?

Yes, Just as Hagen is the next Merckx and Sagan is the next Pantani, I wonder who the next revelation is and what name we'll come up for him :D

Taylor Phinney = the next George Hincappie?

Okay... that one might be realistic... but it is aiming a bit lower.

How about... the next Spartacus? Yeah... that's better!

:)

Of course he is! After all, he's only one Roubaix win behind Fabian. :p

Getting reports that Cavendish has been pulled from Romandie by HTC....

According to Norwegian press he has been pulled by his team as a reaction to his "two fingers" yesterday. He is supposedly given a fine by the UCI as well.

HTC says they will give the victory money from the race to the "Right to Play"-foundation.

For those who read norwegian:

To much fuss about nothing if you ask me.:p

Porte put in a good time the main person i was looking out for was Basso
the course suites him with a climb and so 44th is very unimpressive, he definitely needs to up his game significantly
was Dario Cioni meant to lead sky at the Giro? if so to lose 3 mins and come 90th is an apalling effort

Congrats to Richie Porte!! I think he's had a tough first season so far, nice to see him get a win!
