It depends on how today's stage went. Maybe Peraud attacked and everyone thought: it's too early, let him dangle for a bit. If there arn't any sprinters left, Boom sure has a chance to win a reduced sprint. He's one of the few riders to regularly beat Cav in sprinting, even better than Andrea 'remember that one time I beat Cav' Guardini.
