Michael Kreders' and to a lesser extent Fernandezs' are showing good signs for when they link up with Farrar for his sprint train. Raymond Kreder also did well but he would probably note ride a GT this year.

Looking forward to Mont Faron, a pity it will be shortened.

curios as to what kreder can do this year.

@el pickle; come on anyone who follows the espoirs knows of kreder. He wasn't a superstar but he was still there enough. same goes for raymond to a lesserr extent.

Anyway good wins :)

I don't follow the espoirs(unless he did cyclo-cross). Why do you think I barely hype Belgian youngsters? :p

Obviously I knew about Demare and all, but he won the WC.

Speaking of Espoirs who does everyone think will win the Under 23 Mens' WC this year???

I think Dennis could surprise ( top 5 ). I would have said Nokinov but he is now pro.

I think it's an interesting discussion, but it deserves its own thread. Besides: There half a year to go, plenty of youngsters with time to shine..

Same here. I wonder what this means for his 'punch' qualities though. We'll find out later I guess

Valverde is a puncheur with a good sprint. Maybe not the right person to compare too, but it is possible :)

And the riders here ain't really the biggest sprinters out there.

Looks like Michel Kreder will win the Tour Mediterraneen. Here's the foot of Mont Faron:

Bummer..I really hate the weather in Europe momentarily really.

All the other dutch screaming for the 'Elfstedentocht'. All I want is +10 degrees so all cycling races go through.

This is bad for the manager game I'm playing as well. I had Pinot and Quintana lined up for Faron :(

Haha, can't imagine that's the climb; there should be snow on that thing for sure given the height.

Yeah..... I had Pinot, Quintana as well, and also Valls, Rolland, Denifl and Majka.

I don't know what to think of that climb

Well, at least they go us a climb, this is probably about as good as it can get under these circumtances, so I'm a happy man. :)

That climb can still decide the GC at least. Hopefully more people will attack.
On cyclism'actu both Moncoutie and Peraud said they have not much ambitions. Moncoutie knows this climb and says nothing will happen. It's nothing like Faron
