For ten minutes or so the amgen stream had actual sound from the race: You could hear the riders talking, shifting gears and the helicopter hovering above them... then all of a sudden it goes silent and Phil & Paul take over. WHY DO THEY DO THIS???
I think it is a quirk of the broadcast. Both Phil and Paul are doing both the network and internet broadcast. But when the network goes to commercial, Phil drops off the internet to cover the fade-out and face-in, and Paul continues solo.

I'm guessing that having to deal with sound would completely befuddle Liggett.

Hah, so that's why you can sometimes hear Phil speaking in the background when Paul is commentating.

They don't seem to be racing down hill.

My God this is boring racing. Is Leipheimer a terrible descender or something? Why else are they going 14 miles per hour down this amazing descent?

I thought it was pretty cool to hear only the race sounds with no commentating at all. I wish they'd do it a lot more.

Andy Schleck is looking for the Di2 instruction manual.

I lol'd.

Looking for an electrical outlet to charge the old Cancellara-battery? ;)

But srsly, extremely quick bikechange or brakes rubbing maybe?

Never knew Hesjedal was such a good descender.

Or maybe Radioshack really are riding that slowly.

Edit: Wait, is Hesjedal wearing a skinsuit on a mountain stage? 2 year ban please.
