Missed the whole thing. Did they say anything about the Hamilton stuff? They've been talking about it on local Austin sports radio and it's painful to listen to. These guys have absolutely no clue about cycling.

Ligget said "and we have some very bad news from yesterday, Tyler Hamilton has admitted to doping". Followed by a little speech about when Hamilton was caught and an almost carbon copy of what Lance said about how Ekimov now has a 3rd gold medal and good for him.

Lances name was for once, unmentioned.

I had a good feeling today was going to be a day for DZ. I got a bit nervous when Levi was one second ahead of him at the checkpoint. But relief set in when Levi crossed the line.

Pathetic performance by Schleck

I missed the entire stage I was out playing tennis. +2'15" isn't pathetic for Schleck. That is a guarenteed norm for him. He is an absolutely horrible time trialer. Thats where he loses his time at in the TDF. If he could time trial anything close to Contador he would already be a TDF winner, possibly two time.

Thats why I don't understand why he is even messing around in California. There are not enough big mountain stages for him to get back time like the European stage races or the GT's.

Maybe just to warm his legs for the Tour de Suisse.

The biggest surprise to me was Taylor Phinney. There is no way I would have expected him to be out of the top 5 let alone the top 20. :(

what did he say/do?

he seemed really annoyed that he got beaten, lost the record and didn't take much time out of horner to take the lead. I think there is a bit of rivalry between Levi and Horner.

I think Levi is going to find out tomorrow that he just needs to get over that.

What is funny to me is Horner was in Yellow after Sierra Road and he was saying that the team was still riding for Levi. If I turn on the TV tomorrow and I see Chris Horner dragging Levi up Baldy I am gonna be ****ed.

Phil Liggett has forgotten more about cycling than he knew about it in the first place.
