He hadn't really launched his sprint yet at that point, so we'll never know. Anyway based on past results he was still the favourite going into the sprint.
I guess it’s nice that the GC of this race can be decided by a single one man effort once in a while, but in a broader perspective it does kill some of the excitement. Especially when the same rider has the strongest team behind him. I’m looking forward to returning to the good old battle for seconds in this stage race.

I like these small, technical courses. It doesn't even have to be in the capital, it can be done in every medium-sized town with city cobbles, corners and roundabouts.
20 km is a bit overkill for such a small race and turns it into a race for time trialists. That said, having no time trial like in 2019 makes it feel a bit "empty".
