Actually I think it wasn't just about position and Morkov in the end, Groenewegen kicked and that was it, the others couldn't reach him anymore - Teunissen brought him into a great position, but the gap he opened was him.
Sprinting from the head of the group was an advantage in this case, I'm sure.

Affini and Teunissen were really strong, strong enough to give DQ problems. Of course you still need a sprinter who can deliver and that's exactly what Groenewegen did.

I never realised Henrik Jess was a short guy, but I'm not going to make a Napoleon complex reference. At least not more than one.

Congrats to Groenewegen! Stinks he isn't going the Vuelta instead of Denmark in order to get some GT stage wins. Now it's Cav's turn tomorrow and him to finish second so they swap like him and Jakobsen. :D

The camerawork is even worse than the commentating of Liniger. While it's fun to see the race with friends when it passes by where you live, everything about the race is amateur-hour and it should have been demoted to .1 a long time ago. It is probably the worst .HC/.PS race there is.

Remco is getting some proper training now, but I doubt they will be pushing the pace for the remaining 130 km.
