One of the reasons was definitely that Evenepoel destroyed his chances of being at the front, but Cavendish might have indicated that he wasn't feeling great. This is the difference between pure sprinters and the more puncheur-ish ones. I wonder if Cavendish will state that the hill was too much for him, or if there were other reasons for him not being present in the sprint.
I know what happened! In 2016, Cort won the sprint here after his two closest opponents touched shoulders. In 2021, the same thing happened when another Dane won. What a trend.
So do you call him Magnets Cort?I know what happened!
Magnets! Magnets in the jerseys! No clue how they managed to sneak them in without anyone noticing...
Today it was Pedersen! So do you call him Magnets Cort?
I don't know if anyone has ever shortened magnets to mags, but otherwise it won't really work.Today it was Pedersen!
Dunno how to turn 'Mads' into 'magnet'...
I'm not sure anyone in the top 5 will be able to hold on tomorrow. I know Pedersen won in Vejle four years ago, but I can't really see him replicate that this year. But if he doesn't lose too much time and can take bonus seconds on Friday, he still has a chance, if he puts in a great TT. There's no doubt about who the biggest favourite is though.Pretty decent gaps between the riders after two sprint stages.
I was thinking about Kristoff when I saw Pedersen’s sprint from the helicopter view, so yeah.Pedersen reminds me of Hushovd and Kristoff at their peak.
A robust power sprinter who can do these very lengthy sprints.
I wouldn’t put my money on Pedersen either.I'm not sure anyone in the top 5 will be able to hold on tomorrow.
