I honestly don't know, what race was that and what year?? :p
I'll dig it up. I read it somewhere but don't remember where. The thing is that when he said it I told my wife and we both laugh. But it stuck in my mind.

if you think by now it has anything to do with that you have no idea. hti is clearly something psychological. hope he finds a good psychologiust or knows how to turn the tides. but I'm loosing faith.

I'm with you- this is beyond cycling skills- he's either lost the edge due to nervousness or is inside his head this pattern to get easily distracted-lacks the proper concentration and become unaware of his surroundings while riding.
very sad indeed, since the talent is there, but means nothing if he can't even cross the line uninjured...:(

it seems that soler together with landa and plaza were right behind the first five when the crash happened.probably juan mauricio went down first...

Re-report: Plaza has apparently broken his leg near the ankle, will undergo surgery.
I've read he's broken both his tibia and his fibula and that he'll likely miss the whole season.

He was 7th on the stage and 13th on GC since he lost time yesterday when the peloton split because of a crash.

CQRanking has Froome in 7th, which sounds more likely. Even though Nordhaug is actually a half-decent climber.

Nordhaug was used really poorly by Sky last year so its hard to gauge how talented he really is. He never got a chance to do anything except carry water bottles, even when he was outperforming his team-mates. I hope he gets some more freedom this season.

Wow. That meant a lot to him. Hes shouting out of joy as he crosses the line. Forgot to do the pistol even. Or is that the old contador?

Ya, and that was the case now as well. I don't know about this stage but yesterday he worked hard all day to bring back the break so it's not like he has had hte opportunity to ride as a protected rider. If he keeps showing rides like this however I hope he'll get his chance sooner or later.

This was a fun stage. And it's starting to look like Coppel might be the real deal after all. He's scored two bronze medals in past U23 ITT world championships; we'll see how he does tomorrow.

Yeah, but he's French.

Ye I was going to post the same... mmmm In many interview he has said the same "I can't be the same anymore"... maybe that involves his triumph salute?

I couldn't understand why they were using him so early yesterday when there was a big mountain stage today where he could go well. Silly Sky tactics...

Interesting interview with him on procycling.no, where he reveals that he tried to follow the attacks of Contador but cracked a bit in the end. He could very well be a late-bloomer (like Hesjedal), considering he lost a year to injury and also used to focus on mountain biking.

Regardless of our opinions about the Contador Case, I think we'll all agree something good came out of it.

Whatever Contador's faults, it's nice to see the biggest rider in the world racing to win all season. It's been way too long. Bravo!
