I wake up just in time to "see" the top three come in and find out AC wins (14'10") over Coppel (14'18") and Menchov (14'22"). Not a bad result for AC, not bad at all.

Now, time for Paris-Nice.

And once again Contador proves he's a better time trial specialist than Menchov(who seems to be in good shape for the early season)

Third victory already for the season :)

Nice ride by Dowsett to finish 4th and I'm pleased to see that Alexander Wetterhall of Endura Racing finished 7th.

the miracle coppel goes on...beating menchov is serious.

great win for alberto!
You're really overreacting.

Menchov is not superb at short ITT's and Coppel has shown before he can do a good short ITT... (also long ITT's as espoir)

Nothing suprising that Coppel beats a just-starting Menchov in a short ITT therefore

btw final GC

Eindklassement Ronde van Murcia 2011 (2.1)
1. Alberto Contador (Spanje/Saxo Bank)
2. Jérôme Coppel (Frankrijk/Saur-Sojasun) op 11s
3. Denis Menchov (Rusland/Geox-TMC) op 17s
4. Wout Poels (Nederland/Vacansoleil) op 1m46s
5. Fabio Duarte (Colombia/Geox-TMC) op 1m47s

The amazing Duarte beaten by Poels? Surely, that's a mistake?

Great effort by Alex. Yes - good to see Endura mixing it up too. :)

1. Alberto Contador (Saxo Bank-SunGard) 14:1
2. Jerome Coppel (Saur-Sojasun) a 11
3. Denis Menchov (Geox-TMC) a 17
4. Wouter Poels (Vacansoleil) a 1:46
5. Fabio Duarte (Geox-TMC) a 1:47
6. Alexander Geniez (Saur Sojasun) a 2:04
7. Fabrice Jeandesboz (Saur Sojasun) a 2:06

Three from Saur in the top 10. It seems like this is where the french climbers have been hiding. Will be interesting to see them in the Tour.

I think Contador can win tomorow.

Ok so theres no hill, but he still usually does very well in prologues.

Monaco was 16k, this is 12 and he came second to Cance.
seconds off Boom in PN last year. Won Dauphine prologue.

Then came 6th on pan flat course in Rotterdam.

And the leaders very often do well in these stage race final tts. See how Horner and Valverde were 1-2 in Pais Vasco or Gesink winning Oman.

+ he seems to want it.

All in all a well reasoned and correct argument :)

Ill be happy if Duarte continues just getting top 5 top 5 top 5 top 10, not grabbing the attention of too many as hes not winning, but hanging over them like the sword of Damocles, and then, when they least expect it,

BANG!.

Contador usually isn't a guy that underestimates his fellow cyclists :p

He'll have a cross next to Duarte's name by now.

there is no pistolero anymore (I was tempted to say "pintolero"...)
New era, and maybe one of the best riders of all times, 28 years and 3 months... only

He rode more that 52 km/h, glups!

Good to see that Contador has re-discovered his 2009 trialing form, with that nice Mr Riis.
Clearly, all that beef slowed him down, last year.
