Wow. Its such a shame i missed this.

Some great banter between Ryo and his fellow dutchies.

Im surprised he won on the downhill

Does anyone know if the Pistol was fired or if it was a quiet crossing the line.

yes when guys ride for long time in rabo tt3 they don't have much growth margin anymore. weening, posthuma, eltink, kozontchuk, giling, de kort, scheuneman, leezer, sutherland, heijboer, elijzen do I need to go on? they were all world class u23 riders or close to that, who stagnated when becoming pro

exception is thomas dekker, also some guys were so supertalented like reus, boom and de maar they can still become great except reus of course :(

I'm talking about the tt3 team not the team they have now, rabo seems to have learned from the past in this.
I think you've just explained the problem: not all of them can be super talented.

Coppel seems to have become more of a climber recently with his TT suffering a bit. Will be interesting to see how he goes tomorrow.

Cobo retired because a fever :(

Nice to see you here and out of the clinic for a moment ;)

Here we go with the meat jokes :D

Well... What I think is... Geox pushed hard in Collado Bermejo with Duarte and Sastre then Alberto went full gas with Coppel and Menchov in his wheel... No attacks from them just wheelsucking... They went downhill w/o hurry and Alberto attacked in the last Km, maybe Coppel and Menchov tried to follow him but had no legs for it, to get his 1st win of the season and the 1st win for SBS

Grande Alberto!!

Adelante Alberto y calla a los envidiosos !!!

The Sky rider in 7th is LP Nordhaug and not Froome according to Dowsett on twitter.

This one and the "Meat" joke are just as bad. We can not have this in every race.

Good for Duarte.

Ryo, was it Duarte that said when he was a very young fellow after just finishing winning a Youth race, "Ahora quiero ganar el Tour de Francia" and everybody was kind of who the F*** is this guy.LOL.

Meh, bit weak of an excuse. A guy like Weening was 2nd on the world ranking espoirs and top in almost every race. Same goes for Posthuma, they are both just above average riders now.

Contrary as I thought... a group of 5 men made the selection in Collado Bermejo: Contador, Menchov, Coppel, Duran y Poels. because of Contador to isolate Menchov cuz Geox was pacing the Peloton... then in the last Km Contador attacked and kept the gap of 5' until the finish... Contador's tactics in action... He doesnt need a DS telling him what to do ;) OFC is not an incredible and amazing tactic from other world hahahaha but maybe other would have just follow wheels hahaha

Ah bringing up old posts. Seems I'm good at predicting

That was in response to DT saying Duarte would teach Contador a lesson :p

-snipped out- and Contador got a win today. Good day to be fan of both.

You didn't understand the real meaning of that post. You have to know the history between Ryo Hazuki and me to understand that. ;)

In short:
I did not expect Duarte to. Ryo always goes on about columbians (and Duarte is one of them) destroying the rest in mountain stages.
So that's why I posted "waiting for those first messages that Duarte left Contador in no mans land"

Try again later El Pistolero, when you know a bit more about this forum. To understand the banter between some members...before you misinterpret more posts. Your gloating is misplaced here :D sorry

Movistar team tweets that Plaza has a blow to his foot, and Soler several wounds in his leg. Both are reported to be OK. Euskaltel tweets that Landa has a suspected broken right clavicle.

Philippe Gilbert and Contador got a win today. Good day to be fan of both.

Fortunately i already knew the result. But was it neccesary to declare that Gilbert won? It wasnt live so a bunch of people are waiting for highlights.

Im not saying you shouldnt, it is a cycling forum after all, but just a thought.

not really.

their are in the presence of someone that will make history, someone so amazing that in the modern era wins lots of stage races and every gt he enters. contador's abilities are 90% of the other cyclists' dream.

obviously that for some haters "in and out" the road, for some stupid reason with absolute lack of sense, it's bad.

for the others, it will be amazing.

Soler falling in a descent, now there's a shocker

Im waiting for El Pistolero to tell you that your wrong, its not actually such a shock that Soler falls in a descent. Pistolero will then likely proceed to explain that Soler often falls in descents and so you should not be so shocked.
:p

It's not meant to be directed at you, just gloating that Contador won and I called it. Not that it was a hard call :p

It was half sarcastic, half gloating. I know Ryo does that about Colombians, I've quoted him a few times saying what I think about the Colombians already ;)
