Battle of the young puncheurs tomorrow: Nys, Nerurkar and Christen? UAE have lots of cards to play as usual, hopefully its more than a 1 km explosion
Based on today's time trial, Onley should definitely be in that list. Apparently he crashed yesterday.

So Mads Pedersen with the best T1 time at 9.11, five seconds ahead of Grossschartner. And finshed 31st in the end. Was there some sort of prize or points at the intermediate check? Or did he just try to take advantage of his terrain by yoloing it like crazy then dying on the climb?

I think the latter. He's a heavy guy, so he probably hoped his presence on the mountain the day before would have flattened it somewhat.

Jokes aside, he did try to hang on yesterday too, but I was surprised that he gave it a go today.

You can hear the public addres system's commentator in the background in the video. Could be listening to FM radio or watching a TV stream - hard to tell nowadays as it's all on mobile phones.
There is an online sign language live page for deaf people - not seen that before.
Yup, thanks Rob. Didn't know about the live signing site!

A very dissapoing breakaway, given the profile of the first kilometers. So the stage will most likely only be a 900 m uphill sprint int he end..

Not watching, but checked PCS and what is this?

Random solo bridge-to-the-breakaway attempt in the middle of the stage from 7th place in GC?

Reinderink and Debeaumarché from the breakaway crashed into a ditch on a descent, and Debeaumarché may have hit a wall there. Let's hope he is okay. Reinderink is back on the bike, but was caught by the peloton.

just tuned in as well, but apparently 7 riders bridged to the front with around 100k to go, so I guess he may have tried to join them.

Debeaumarché was taken to hospital, according to the live ticker of the race. No more information available, as far as I can see.

If it's Thursday, it's time for a sprint. Stage 4 from Kudowa-Zdroj to Prudnik 195.3 km. Starts 12.15 CET and TV from 12.20 CET

Some lumpy stuff to start the day, but by the time they get to the last 50 km it should be "peloton compacto" and time for the fast guys to show their stuff. Unless of course the breakaway hangs on.

I missed the stage 2 time trial. What happened to Nys? Is time trial not his bag, or did he have a mechanical? I see that he won today again.
