Battle of the young puncheurs tomorrow: Nys, Nerurkar and Christen? UAE have lots of cards to play as usual, hopefully its more than a 1 km explosion
Based on today's time trial, Onley should definitely be in that list. Apparently he crashed yesterday.

So Mads Pedersen with the best T1 time at 9.11, five seconds ahead of Grossschartner. And finshed 31st in the end. Was there some sort of prize or points at the intermediate check? Or did he just try to take advantage of his terrain by yoloing it like crazy then dying on the climb?

I think the latter. He's a heavy guy, so he probably hoped his presence on the mountain the day before would have flattened it somewhat.

Jokes aside, he did try to hang on yesterday too, but I was surprised that he gave it a go today.

Not watching, but checked PCS and what is this?

Random solo bridge-to-the-breakaway attempt in the middle of the stage from 7th place in GC?
just tuned in as well, but apparently 7 riders bridged to the front with around 100k to go, so I guess he may have tried to join them.
