According to his wife they were, but it's a great result for him.It looked like it were tears of frustration and not joy.
Leitão said on national tv that he was feeling his legs empty during the race.
Great win for Portugal.
Without that crash we could have had double Consonni gold, but whatever.
That looked very deliberate to me, you don't overtake someone in the madison and accidentally headbut themno dq for dutch? wtf?
Shame he feels like that, because it really is a wonderful result. The crash did definitely take away the chance for the gold, but to be in that position anyway was remarkable.According to his wife they were, but it's a great result for him.
I'm putting it out there, Consonni-Milan as the Madison duo for the next Olympics?
He cries everytime he finishes a race ffs.Viviani in tears at the end, I assume out of joy for the silver, given his general issues with form? Would be very harsh on himself if it's for the error that led to the fall
Did Paternoster just fell?? 🥺 was looking forward for her to get a medal here. Hope it doesn’t affect her.
Kopecky trained a lot on the Scratch because it doesn't suit her, never had a good result but now she was boxed in the last 5 laps. The slower speed wasn't good for her. But good for the race, she'll have an attacking mindset.Great start for Valente and what looked like a very happy Coles-Lyster. Kopecky was surprisingly far back, and Evans sadly crashed.
