It's not like he is PT quality. What odds he will end at Pegasus?
Certainly more of a chance now he's uncontracted. Would be a useful addition too, they need more Aussies with Europe racingg experience.

Didn't realise Tennant was going with Clancy. Bialoblocki and Clarke both good signings.

Big season for McEvoy.

So does that mean they are applying for pro continental status? Because the 16-rider rules does not apply to continental teams as far as I know.

Hm I don't know. It would really surprise me if they applied to ProConti status because it has never been mentioned anywhere in the press. The 16-rider minumum rule was mentioned in the article, so that's why I wrote about it

Excellent, now 3 confirmed Portuguese teams for next year. I guess the last two could well come from the abandoned Liberty Seguros project. Mendes and Rodrigues would help make it a strong team, but Rui Sousa just left Barbot, don't know how amicable the split was.

Looks like Santí Pérez will be their leader; good for the Asturias invite, bad for those of us who hoped Bernabéu and Blanco going back to Spain and the LibSeg project might help Portuguese cycling throw away its reputation for being a bunch of talented riders slaving away to help yesterday's Spanish dopers prolong their careers.

According to Cycling Weekly Magnus Backstedt is returning to racing in the UK for a team named after the charity he is vice president of. Team UK Youth will race in the UK domestic Premier Calender and are going to try and get into the tour series. Riders confirmed so far include Backstedt himself, Freddy Johansson, Niklaas Gustavsson (both from Sprocket Procycling) and interestingly, Greg and Leo Mansell (sons of ex F1 driver Nigel Mansell). The rest of the team has yet to be confirmed.
