Mazzanti (Katusha) might join Farnese Vini-Neri but not ISD . Next year ISD will be with Lampre . And Lampre will be a sponsor of ISD Continental squad , next year ISD Continental team will change there name to ISD-Lampre Continental team . ISD-Lampre Continental team will be a feeder team of Lampre-ISD pro tour team .

Essentially the new Cipollini team is taking a lot of Valdarno's quality riders and superimposing the two former WCs from elsewhere onto it. Callovi will be a star. Cooke is already one of course and will be with team. Tatiana Guderzo is one of my favourite women's riders and I look forward to seeing her doing battle next year though I'm disappointed she won't be in the rainbows still. Most important for me is Marta though. Marta is awesome.

Theres a few single-minded ego's on that team, not least cooke. Will be very interesting to see how they work together. More importantly for cooke, having had a few team problems in the past will be interesting to see how she works with the Italians.

Team Cykelcity.se has three new recruits, Michael Olsson, Philip Lindau and Jimmy Rönn.

Team Cykelcity.se is a swedish amateur team that has been around for 7-8 years but is now taking the step up to be a continental team next year.

If that's true, Cofidis deserves a big F*** YOU.

Signing a guy currently being investigated in a doping ring with conclusive proof that he's on dope? Ridiculous.

Why a guy like Hulsmans would end in a 2nd line team?
Nothing wrong with it, but I'd expect some teams aiming at Spring Classics to get him on board.

There was a young Scot called Ross Creeber on this team, who rode a great race at the British Championships, where's he racing?

Basically they got rid of all the eastern europeans and replaced them by frnechmen. I hope this will not have a negative effect on the overall strength of the team, but I fear it will. I always thought they were the strongest french team cause they had the leasr frenchmen. First traditional get-together will be from Dec 8-17 in Salou/Spain. They're one of my favourite teams with the coolest jerseys, hope they will have a good season next year.

Am i the only one thinking that PT teams are getting smaller in 2011? AG2R with 27 almost seems to have the biggest number of riders.

What are you basing that on?

Garmin, Sky, Liquigas, Rabobank, Omega Pharma, Astana, Lampre, RadioShack, Geox, Saxo Bank are all either getting bigger or staying the same.

Katusha was already at max so they might drop 1 or stay the same. AG2R drops 1. Eukaltel might lose 1. HTC, Movistar, Quickstep might drop 2-3.

Note though that we haven't seen the final lineups of these teams so there might still be more recruits that are yet to be announced.

FDJ and Milram who were to of the lightweights at 23 and 25 riders this year are both gone. Luxembourg will at least be as big as FDJ and probably bigger. BMC has 27 riders so they are also bigger than the teams leaving. Vacansoleils size will depend on if they get the license or not.

In the end I think the number of riders on PT teams will increase by 4-5 riders overall.

Thank you for the info. Indeed, there's more reason to feel optimistic.

Seeing HTC only up to 24, Lux stopping with the announcements, Saxobank not hiring, the seemingly protracted transfer season and teams going bust i got a liitle concerned.

he said in the belgian press that he had been negotiating with saxobank for about three months (nuyens dropped his name with riis) but that while they kept saying they wanted to sign him, they never actually offered him a contract and that therefore he now decided he couldn't wait any longer for saxobank to make a move and signed with jelly belly - donckers..

the small advantage he has now is that he won't be a helper there but the big gun in every big and small race they start in in Belgium and France and that he may actually win something + his new team has ambition, they've also signed hovelynck (QST), Ricardo VDvelde (garmin) en huub duyn (ex-garmin)...
