he said in the belgian press that he had been negotiating with saxobank for about three months (nuyens dropped his name with riis) but that while they kept saying they wanted to sign him, they never actually offered him a contract and that therefore he now decided he couldn't wait any longer for saxobank to make a move and signed with jelly belly - donckers..

the small advantage he has now is that he won't be a helper there but the big gun in every big and small race they start in in Belgium and France and that he may actually win something + his new team has ambition, they've also signed hovelynck (QST), Ricardo VDvelde (garmin) en huub duyn (ex-garmin)...

his team wasn't invited to any major (cobble) races last year so why would they this year with only stronger presentation by big teams like pegasus coming tino the picture

did I say anything about that?

I just said he was going to be the big gun in every race (big and small) they start in in belgium and France..

As for the ambitions of his team, I read that they want to turn procontinental as fast as possible and once they are procontinental you can bet they will be a hard contender for the wildcards in almost every race in Belgium.

If Kevin Hulsmans is your "big gun", you don't deserve pro continental status.

I suppose that before turning procontinental they will buy some extra riders

as for hulsmans, has always been a superhelper for Boonen but won both de ronde van vlaanderen en the omloop het volk as an espoir. so who knows? he may win some small races in Belgium now...

.

It seems according to an article I read at procycling.no that Amore e Vita will not be norwegian next year after all. Apparently they would have had to sign at least 8 norwegians along with their other roster for them to register in Norway. They are still planning for a norwegian pro continental team in 2012 however but I guess they will still be ukrainian or something else in 2011.

what does that has to do with it?

I simply stated that hulsmans is going to ride for jelly belly - donckers coffee next year and that he was going to be their leader.

when asked about this team I only said that they were hoping to go procontinental as soon as possible but that before doing that they would probably buy some new (decent) riders.

in the meantime however hulsmans (a good helper and talented rider with the espoirs cfr winner of the ronde van vlaanderen) will probably be enough to win some small races in belgium (enough kermiskoersen, dernycriteriums and other small races to go around)

anything unclear or biased by the fact that i'm belgian in all of that?

He's close to a move to QuickStep, but it's not a done deal yet. It was on the Belgian TV news.

so where do you think he will go?

lefevre didn't get ricco.he might try with di luca.astana would be a good choice,imagine giro 2011 line up:di luca,kreuziger,tiralongo.ohhh poor roman :))))

You know jens he has bought himself an agreement with Beppe in March already, the rest is politics for maybe a pay-out swap to Vino, but hey now you started it, let's make this one a riddle Q & A with the outcome say next week.

The more interesting question for you'll, where will the old fart Rebellin retire, our humble friend Pellizotti strike and the ever young Dutch Dekker settle down - oeps forgot one torero Astarloza ... anybody?

I heard some (very vague) rumours Astarloza might return to Euskaltel.
