please tommeke go to saxo!!!! pretty please

i would love to see boonen owning canc on canc's old team. besides i like both saxo and boonen so is a win win scenario.

oh and ya riis is the perfect guy to bring 2005 tommeke back

So Hushovd is making noises about "problems" with Garmin and pointing to team strategy as a reason for his failure to SMASH! this spring. I love Thor but call BS on that. If he wants to move to another team where he is the undisputed leader I would welcome that; however, and leaving P-R aside, he had a number of opportunities to SMASH! this spring where is failure to do so was only down to his own mistakes or lack of form, so it seems incorrect to blame the team. Or maybe this is just negotiation tactics.
That said, where should Thor go to get the support he wants???

i doubt any team will give thor the support he wants because he will never win a cobbled monument despite what he thinks. he should just see reality and be happy that he doesn't has to work for some1 stronger

That's a bold statement. Did you watch P-R this year? He was the only guy who could follow Cancellara, and would easily beat him in the sprint. He needs a little luck, yes, but he can definitely win P-R...

Katusha?

Katusha?

A bit disappointed with Thor. Not that he's upset and thinking of leaving, but that he didn't do anything about it in Roubaix. He had a great chance to win, and while wearing the rainbow bands. Roubaix is everything he wanted and he's not getting younger. He should've told Vaughters to shove his instructions up his a55 and gone for it.

I think the only thing that is wrong for Hushovd is the money but he's blaming other things instead.

I think Radioshack could be a good place for Hushovd if they stick around. They have some decent riders that could help him and no real leader of his caliber. He's also starting to get close to the right age for them.

i have seen P-R. was he able to follow canc's attack in the last 10k? no, even tho canc had done a lot more work then him. oh and canc's attack got him second place so it wasn't a lost cause. thor should be on canc's wheel on that attack as well so he could play his role at 100% on the team tactics. follow canc without helping him. if he manages to catch the team mate up the road just outsprint him cus he will be tired.

thor will never beat canc or boonen. he will only do it if both manage to crash out which is very unlikely. besides i rate pippo and flecha as better P-R riders then thor so he would also need to beat them. and ballan who is on the same level as thor. there are also plenty of up and coming stars who could be performing at high level in the next couple of years. like sep and thomas.

...his announcement should be classified as "The Least Surprising Thing in the News Today."

Kind of agree with Thor here. Roubaix was the only race where the tactics made sense. But Thor's representation doesn't sound like they think their differences are not irreconcilable.

I think Vaughters needs to get out of the team cars and the bus. I really think he muddles things and comes up with terribly confusing tactics. That last "Beyond the Peloton" really made him look awful IMO. The Garmin races, they need to pretty much have the perfect day in order to win. Everything needs to break their way.

Thor didn't want to "go for it".
He was more than happy and stay in Fabian's draft all the way to the velodrome and do his sprint at the line.
Thor was never strong enough to attack Fabian.
He put in a weak attack at Flanders the week before and got left in the dust.
Thor has to follow wheels because he's not strong enough to "go for it"

Well, that's true for anyone with regard to Cancellara. Even Boonen would be stupid to attack Cancellara.

Name one guy stronger than Fabian in that situation.

If there was one, then Cancellara probably would have been on his wheel.

Also Thor sucks at Flanders. Go ahead and look his results up in that race if you don't believe. Next season he ought to take the Sunday before Roubaix off.
