Oh this will be so funny. I'm also sort of hoping that Cav will go to Sky so he will make Henao and Urán so lead out and just this place go into meltdown.

No! Uran and Henao are way better riders than to be used to lead him out. That'll be a total waste

hehehe, that was also the first thing that came to my mind. The most hideous combination.

Concerning EE, cycling would be definitely less exciting to watch, but I don't think that will happen though.

With Anton's & Sanchez's ordinary time trial peformances in Beijing, doesn't look likely that a carrot will feature highly in the GC in the Tour of Beijing which desn't look good for EE's World Tour chances. Peraud's very good ride keeps AG2R with a good chance of retaining a WT license.

Not really. Remember that the UCI world tour team rankings are essentially meaningless when it comes to how the WT licenses are handed out. Peraud might well move into the top 30 in the WT ranking (currently 34th) with say, a 5th-8th place finish in Beijing, which would add 20 points to his and AG2R's overall sporting value. 20 points could of course make all the difference in terms of securing a place inside the top 15 but it's much more likely to come down to the signings that each team makes/announces between now and the deadline.

El diario montañes reveals Freire freire will stay at Rabobank. LINK

Luuc Eisinga from Rabobank responded with - Freire let us know he was going to quit. Because of that we withdrawn our offer, that is the situation right now.

"Oscar heeft bij ons aangegeven dat hij stopt met wielrennen. Daarop hebben wij onze aanbieding ingetrokken, dat is de stand van zaken", laat woordvoerder Luuc Eisenga aan NUsport weten.

Why should Freire "retire" now, he could make good money simply by selling his license ranking points and officially retire next spring.

that just can't happen!!!! never

euskaltel, lampre, lotto and quick step are the images of cycling so they must stay forever!!!!

we can also add teams like liqui, saxo, and movistar to this list tho they have changed sponsors and kit colours over the years so aren't as recognizable as those i mentioned. cycling isn't the same without orange and pink and blue. :(

(i may be forgetting some other long term sponsor)

Cofidis (how many times have they said that they're going to pull out of the sport but keep on renewing their sponsorship), FDJ, AG2R.

Oh this will be so funny. I'm also sort of hoping that Cav will go to Sky so he will make Henao and Urán so lead out and just this place go into meltdown. Given that Ryo didn't like it when Urán had to wait for Wiggins when he crashed out of the TDF, I don't think he will like it for one second seeing Henao and Urán doing lead-out, which will also be funny.

People hate Cav, how? :D

I'm going to grilled for this, but is there really much difference being Dutch or Belgian and racing for a team from either country?

that won't happen though as uran can't place himself anywhere in the peloton and henao has no idea about lead-outs

Neither of them are fast enough anyway. Cavendish would be better off using them up early in the day to control the break.

Danny Pate is a good signing. Especially if hayman is leaving. Pate is the kind of rider every team needs. Doesnt win much hinself, but does the work to allow those riders who do win, to win.

A replacement for Michael Barry pretty much.

The Hayman to GreenEdge rumours seem to have died down (you'd have thought he'd be quite high up their target list) so he might well be staying with Sky or possibly going elsewhere?
