You see, the Danish national team almost exclusively races outside Denmark, so I've never seen their exact setup. 
And what you describe would certainly be a better support than what the Team Post Danmark (national selection at Post Danmark Rundt) normally get, at least the part you see at the race.
My point is, most Danish cycling talents stay in their comfort zone during their junior and U23 years.
Bennekou's description of small rooms in Luxembourg, spaghetti & ketchup may be a bit drastic, but in my opinion things like these (living and racing abroad at a young age) will only benefit you later.

Thomas Kvist rode for Beveren 2000 for several years, but he got mononucleosis while at Quick Step, who knows where he'd be now otherwise.
