With all the riders BMC are looking at signing, which current BMC riders are likely to be the ones leaving?

Any ideas ACF or anyone else?

Ballan will leave imo, Louder may retire, Kroon has been unhappy at BMC though I can't think of any other possibilities.

Norwegian media are now saying Thor to BMC.

So TJVG, Gilbert, Thor and Rolland

there you go Woody

I agree with ACF re Ballan

and they have only 27 riders on the team so can sign 3 more to have 30 if they want.

ACF re Kroon I think they want him as another Captain on the road Hincapie type, Quinziato maybe also be taking that type of Role.

Wow. I can't believe they could get Rolland as well. Hope it is true. At last Evans may have some help in the moutains (not that he needs it :p)

I really think Rolland, TJVG,Roe, Eijessen, Bulter, Warbasse are all signed for the Future stage races - all at different levels of development and age - rather than to help Cadel, they will of course but not the main reason they are signed.

Well, you can only reach 30 if 2 of them (or perhaps 3) are on neo-pro contracts. But I guess Phinney, Eijessen and Roe might still be on neo-pro contracts next year?

Don't forget Matt Wilson as well. Hasn't talked about retiring so another year or two should be on the cards.

You seem to know a bit ;)

I wasn't sure if Green Edge would be interested in Wilson, but I guess they will take him to help reach their Australian quota.

don't know if this has been said but Gerry Ryan (GreenEdge) said on Australian radio that the content of the team for next year would include Australians, Kiwi's, a Canadian and some Dutch ..

My guess for a Canadian would be that they're getting Michael Barry from Sky?

Or Sven Tuft although he may be wary after the pegasus debacle.

wow really thor is going to BMC? That will really be one heck of a team in teh classics. they have lots of money. Actually I feel a bit sad, as I think now GVA will have even less chances to ride for himself and he might be leaving because of this. I never really supported thor, so i will find it a bit hard to support him.

Nothing here confirmed just educated and logical speculation...

Aussies: Probables - Goss, Gerro, Meyer x2, Bobridge, Durbridge, Hepburn, Sutton, Lloyd, Wez Sulzburger, Alan Davis, Sutton

Possibles: Simon Clarke, Renshaw, Howard, Porte, Docker, Hayman, O'grady, McEwen, Hayman, Cooke, Tanner, Wilson.

I'm not sure about Wurf. Haussler is unfortunately still contracted as are Matthews and Dennis. Lachie Morton said he wasn't interested at this stage -He is my tip to be the next Aussie podium rider in a GT (That's an Early one!). Not sure about the state of Trent Lowe - highly unlikely since White looks like he'll be DS and he showed interest to return to mountain biking. Lang, McCarthy, Parker porobably wont be there next year. Good to see that there will still be a stack of Aussie talent sprinkled throughout the peleton.

Kiwis: Henderson was linked but has denied it - Maybe Bauer or Seargent both really strong guys, I hope for Jeremy Vennell. Dean looks unlikely but maybe Roulston

Canadian: My guess is as good as yours but i'll say Christian Meier. I hope its David Villeaux though.

Dutchies:
Probables - Langeveld, Mouris
Possibles - Weening

Of the probables I gave there were around 400 UCI world tour points (200 odd for Gossy, 100 for Can Meyer, 50 odd for Gerro and also some for Langeveld).

Oh and I think BMC is going to Greenedge too ;)

WT points don't matter. What matters is what position they finish in the extended WT ranking that also includes all pro conti riders.

I am not really a Thor fan so I am not sure I would want him to be at BMC. I would like to se BMC go for a sprinter (which they have gone for in Blythe tho he is quite young) and some stage racers who can win. They have plenty of classics riders.

Just get the sense that BMC don't want to have to put up with the Mantova crap and that he wouldn't be overly happy with the 2 suspensions. We'll see about Kroon but I am not convinced he'll be there in 2012.

Where did Mouris' name come from?

The ranking is based on the WT points yes, but the actual points score itself won't transfer into the sporting value ranking that determines PT licenses.

Yea I really never supported thor and I would find it difficult to support him even in BMC colors. However I would love gilbert as I love his style and I support him. I would like to see Ballan stay IMO. Kroon has gotten old and he isnt doing well, wouldnt be surprised if they get rid of him.
