I think Pate should go to a team like Garmin. Sky however seems like a good option. I don't like the idea of Gretsch going to Skil- Shimano so much. I think he deserves a contract at a better team. He shall be useful there but still... Congrats to Hummel for moving and good luck to Chavanel at QS

Pate has already ridden for Garmin and left last year

and Skil are a good team and will probably ride 2 GT next year I would guess plus all the big one day races

Gaetan Bille from Team Wallonie - Bruxelles to Lotto -Ridley, eight riders got their contract renewed at TWB : CHEVALLIER, DE WITTE, DUFRASNE, LEGRAND, POLAZZI, PREMONT, STENUIT et VAN HOECKE

And here's BMC again: they're goin for Pauwels so he could do some work for Evans :(

source : velo club.net

Why are you unhappy about pauwels going to work for Evans? Pauwels rumour has been going round for ages. I would pretty much book it in.

No he meant GC overall.
He said that he hopes for two long TT.

What the hell is it with German riders who can ITT thinking the can ride GT for good results in the GC.

Madness I tell you Madness - he might wear it but not going to win it.

Really?

Stronger than than Hincapie or Bookwalter currently or even young riders such as Butler?

I do think Alex is talented but for the team's main sprinter, he is not doing near enough.

lol 2 months ago you were overrating this guy like no tomorrow.
Blythe hype will be unbearable.

Anyway Bookwalter other then a couple ok tt results has done nothing. yawn.
Butler..? lol.

Another delusional german. Just like Tony Martin. They can't get over mountains so it's not going to happen.
Oh well... being ambitious is a good trait of a sportsman though.

Besides that it's far from certain that Skil-Shimano will ride the Tour de France.

The fact that he is the teams main sprinter says more about the team than about him. He is 23 years old and improving, not resigning him could prove to be an awful decision. Farrar was not much better at the same age!

Ya, that was very deliberate of them. They didn't want to spend a lot of money on getting a young talent that could grow into something over time. I think Kristoff has progressed fairly well during his time at BMC. The main problem is his lack of early season form but if you look at the rest of the year he hasn't been that bad at all.

I see he got 36th on the Gardeccia stage, between Löfkvist and Machado. That's not bad.

Two riders who were underperforming for various reasons. Löfkvist got ill during hte Giro and had trouble sleeping. Losing 16 minutes on one stage doesn't exactly build confidence in Gretsch as a climber if that's the best example.
