I think Gilbert will stay at Omega-Pharma-Quickstep. BMC doesn't want to pay out his contract it seems.

Quickstep is really going to be super strong next year.

Lets hope we don't have to listen to Lefevre getting stuck into Gilbert like he does at Boonen when he doesn't win.

nobody is unstoppable.

The expectations Cancellara had this year in the cobbled classics will be the same expectations Gilbert will have to face. Cancellara was the unbackable favourite in de Ronde and Roubaix this year yet he failed to win both. Same could happen to Phil.

Gilbert was the unstoppable favorite at all the classics he started in this year after his impressive victory at Brabantse Pijl. He closed a big gap down in mere seconds and it was from then I knew that he was going be the Cancellara of the cobbled classics last year. It didn't stop him from winning and unlike Cancellara, he'll have a decent team if he stays at QS(Chavanel, Pineau, the Velits brothers, etc)

Where did you hear this?

Well it was either going to be Bobridge or Dennis. The other two likely TP guys aren't likely. I've heard both Brailsford and Sutton are big fans of Dennis. But I'm not sure if he can leave, or leaving Rabobank.

What kind of rider is Golas anyway? I'm not much wiser of his Wikipedia page. Seems like a useless buy or is he a great domestique?

Kwiatkowski seems like a very promising talent.

Cam Meyer is one of my favorites. I know he is a young guy and racing with his brother is pretty important. I wish he had picked a different team. I also hope that GreenEdge has a more euro presence than they are looking like right now

Yeah, that's what teletekst said, they also said he was a great team player. Not sure where they got that information though.

Given their stated aim is to be 80% Aussie I don't think that is likely.

I have also heard 75% Australian mentioned. Also once when the 80% was mentioned they said 20% European, then they sign an African. It is all just marketing stuff and what will happen will happen and they will sign whoever they can get.

Tony Martin will never be what Contador is. Or at least come close to that.

I never said he would. Every time he fails to do a good GC at the Tour de France he claims that he will be back the next year and do top 10. By the way there is such thing as GC for short stage races such as Paris-Nice. Maybe he wants to continue improving with his ability to win short stage races.

I was looking at the UCI points allocations for the world tour races but didn't see anything for the mountains, point and youth jerseys only the GC and stages. Anyone know how much the mountains jersey is worth?

I think according to this link E-E is 13th on UCI points right now, I'd say they're safe next year.

Seems weird but believable the UCI doesn't do awards for non yellow jerseys.
