That's a bit harsh?

It's a bit harsh, but it's also a bit of a joke. The thing is, where he's going is not being given the amount of press it might, and I suspect it's because he hasn't been able to capitalise on the momentum he had in 2010 and has now been overtaken by others in the "next big thing" sweepstakes.

That's probably a good thing, because it takes the weight of expectation off him and lets him get on with accumulating results.

He was last years man and not this years man, that is certianly true but who knows he might bounce back next year without the expectation as you say. I think it all came a bit too quick for him.
I think he is going to Sky, BMC I think was he second choice, if he is leaving. However with Froome going so well Sky might be full as he was perhaps leaving. I am sure they want to keep him now.

So is actually confirmed that Froome is leaving Sky now?

If you are taking that from my post then I was not trying to say that, sorry. He was on a list of possible riders leaving that was posted on here. It was far from definite then and Sky surely want to keep him now.

I think Riis should try sign Bak. Brammier could join Sky/ GE. I think Pate could find a role at a team like Garmin for their lead out and TTT's. If not he could possibly go to RS

Pate to go back to Garmin - as I told you before he left this season.

On the Belgian television yesterday there were serious suggestions that Geox might abandon cycling altogether and concentrate on F1 for their sponsorship money.

Menchov gets to go to a team that gets invited to good races. That's great. It was criminal that he was not allowed to ride the TDF this year.

It only stands to reason with a horror season like 2011. A few good days at La Vuelta can't compensate the failure.

Been known for ages, but Luke Rowe officially announced at Sky for next two years.

Good signing. Very promising young rider.

I'll be interested to see what type of rider he becomes. He can sprint but prefers small bunch kicks. Looks a similar rider to Ben Swift in many ways.

Looks like a cobbled classics man and/or possibly a Amstel Gold type rider (by the way, I am not saying he'll win any of these, just the type of rider I think he may become).

L equipe suggesting that Pauhlinho and Lequarte have been told to leave. I'm sure Bruyneel would be fighting to keep King, Busche and Rovny along with Oliveria, Machado and Sergeant ( who has been very impressive with 2 stage race titles this year )

Maybe slightly old news but LEquipare are also reporting that Feillu, Wegmann, Rohregger, Mortensen, Pedersen, Stamsnijer, Pires, Lund, Vigano must find new teams.

on twitter stamsnijer is saying he has not been told anything official but does not sound convinced it is not true.

Accoding to this German source Sergio Paulinho , Nelson Oliveira, Manuel Cardoso and Tiago Machado might be signing for Riis.

Nownow, therethere, take a chill pill. There is a nice thread on Cobo in the Clinic and for me personally I can't say Wuyts was off by miles regarding Cobo.

Also he is generally quite well informed on most cycling matters, so why on earth it would be BS by definition is beyond me. Given the way the season has gone for Geox and given the fact that Gianetti so far failed to deliver to his title sponsor Geox the marketing podium they were undoubtedly looking for, I could see Geox bail out and put their eggs in another basket (i.e. F1).

He wouldn't dare say such a thing about Vanendert, for example. When unlike him Cobo did have some results before this year.

So the man is biased towards countrymen. How unexpected! And naturally that makes everything else he has to say complete BS. How could I have missed that?

I know he rarely says anything nasty about Belgians, even the fact that JvdB scored very high on UCI's suspect list hardly gets a mention. I agree that is hypocritical in a sense, but again that hardly makes every word he utters BS or the ramblings of a senile man.

But hey, if that helps not discussing the issues at hand and makes you feel better, go right ahead.
