CQ has question marks over the futures of:

Are they all expected to stay for 2013?

Do these Rujano rumours have any meat to them? Or is it just wishful thinking from some posters on the board?
Here is the twitter of a Venezuelan journalist who seems to have spoken to Rujano.

He will give a press conference to reveal his new team next week. It is a team with an invite to the Tour de San Luis.

If Saxo Bank renew with Pires, someone will be cut. Maybe Lucas Sebastián Haedo.

Edit: or not. With Pires, they have 28 riders + McCarthy. It's ok.

Sad news. So with Liquigas no longer being an Italian based team from next year and A&Q gone what will this mean for cycling and the race calender in italy? Surely a lot of races will no longer be as viable?
Liquigas and Lampre do not participate in Thursday's Coppa Sabatini. Race still being raced.

Ag2r-La Mondiale, Astana, BMC, Liquigas-Cannondale, Movistar Team, Omega Pharma-Quick Step, Orica-GreenEDGE y Saxo Bank-Tinkoff Bank

Vacansoleil was the favourite but it's not invited, the other news were Saxo as a request of Contador, perhaps Liquigas because Basso is leaving as a GC man for the giro

it's 99% liquigas. very good news as he will have a free role there.

also there seems to be a dispute betwene him and androni. uci is trying to solve it. and worse news is he has to have surgery to a hernia. man pfeiffer and hernia in one season :( I hope he's fully recovered by early next year and can train well again.

Ye I really hope its niot SBTB. That would be a bad match. If he indeed does end up at Cannondale (since Liquigas stops) does that bring fuel to the rumours about Basso leaving? Basso and Rujano is about as different as it gets, and I dont see them in the Giro riding for the same team.

Rujano were with them during Caisse time I think Unzue was not happy with his attitude

actually he wanted rujano to renew but rujano wanted to go back to venezuela in late 2008 and unzue tried to get him back again in 2010 and 2011 but rujano choose farnese and androni despite way better offer from movistar moneywise. unzue has always been amazed by rujano's talent

I think there s a veyr big chance rujano won;t even be doing the giro. just tour and vuelta.

Only 23 riders are official, and McCarty is neo pro.
They can have 30 riders if 2 of them are neo pros. So as it looks now they can have 29 riders in total, but with the option for another neopro, IF they are 28 riders on normal contracts, and if Im not mistaken Juul Jensen is also neo pro another year, but I´m not 100% sure he still will be in 2013.

Kolobnev is sure in SBTB: Confuso:, I did not see on the site SBTB.

If he goes to Liquigas, will they take him to the Giro as leader? It would be odd for Liquigas to not have an Italian leading the team at the Giro.

Ballan (probably), Bookwalter (probably), Burghardt (definitely), Cummings (definitely), Moinard (probably), Pinotti (definitely), Quinziato (definitely), Roe (will leave) and Santaromita (definitely). The transfer part of CQ has not been updated much lately. Odd.

I haven't read about those contract extensions, except of Ballan. Do you have a link to sources?

They're following the same fate of Spanish Cycling, the ever shrinking number of Spanish teams in the pro peloton, less number of races, despite the fact that Spain tops the nations standing, but that does not reflect the situation, as it might be based on the performances of individuals.

I think rujano will go for tour and vuelta and not giro perhaps. last year I think he said he was pretty fed up with the giro. probably why he now signs with a wt team

I'm not so sure how much they care fot the Italian market. If they did care about having an italian leading the team, they would've done everything to keep Nibali. I know it was also about money but I'm under the impression there was some tension between Nibali and the team management.

Reading how a couple of you's are discussing Rujano. I just this found on Twitter that might interest you's: José Rujan has been confirmed to joining Vacansoleil!

[@BiciGogaESPN: Confirmado: el venezolano José Rujano se unirá al Vacansoleil-DCM.. el equipo holandés lo hará público en los próximos dias[/QUOTE]

So the team should announce it in the coming days...

Well, let's hope he'll be more successful than Devolder at least.
