Gediminas Bagdonas has signed a two year deal with Ag2r La Mondiale.

http://www.directvelo.com/actualite/22572-gediminas-bagdonas-passe-pro-chez-ag2r-la-mondiale.html

Ag2r signed some riders with Sporting Criterion points last year and then didn't actually put them in many races, so I hope that they are planning to give Bagdonas a real chance. He's the current Lithuanian national champion, was their national TT champ last year and has had no less than 16 UCI ranked wins in the last year and a half. He finished in the top 10 of the overall Europe Tour rankings this year, which makes him one of three or four Conti riders who were clearly way better than the rest. (And the last of them to announce a move to a big team).

I'm really glad to see him get a World Tour ride, particularly after his move to Geox disappeared with the team last year. He made good use of an enforced second year with An Post after his breakthrough last year, winning a bunch of smaller races again, but he deserves a shot on a bigger stage

Theoretically, he'd be a great addition to their northern classics squad.

Those are two moves right out of left field. Not really sure why Movistar would be going for Teruel, he has little to no results on the road from his time with Contentpolis, and he's 30 so it's not like he's a young project. Maybe they're expecting him to pick up more points from sprint groups in smaller races than Enrique Sanz has been doing, I don't know.

I mean, when they were picking people off the Spanish amateur scene as links to Movistar, Arkaitz Durán made much more sense. He's proven he's way too good as a road cyclist for that.

he's a friend of valverde and or a pick for the ttt

I think Unzue is looking for time trial talent, probably as a replacement for Samoilau and Konovalovas. He could also be good on TTT, by I don't think he will race any GT.

Any news on Cav? Its not going to be another long drawn out Sky drama is it?

Wouldn't surprise me if Murdoch or someone else were digging there heels in and saying either "He stays" or "I want my money".

I'd rather have him go to coldeportes, who were also trying to get him

does it count as a tranfer the rumor that Joham the hog Brunyeel is out of RLNT/

The Radioshack situation is just getting worse, first Ekimov goes to Katusha and now Bruyneel is out.

Any ideas who will replace them?

Eurosport Portugal has confirmed Ricardo Mestre in Euskaltel for next season, with words straight from the horses mouth: "I can confirm that I will sign a contract with Euskaltel for one year"

great signing for euskaltel, the guy could be a valuable dom for samu and if the tour has a TTT he will certainly be of much more help then most of the rest of the team.

Him being better at TT than 90% of the team doesn't mean that much considering that the riders aren't any good at that to begin with :p

Speaking of Portuguese riders, anything else about José Gonçalves going to La Pomme? It might not be the biggest of jumps, but at least he'll be able to ride more, which is the problem for most Portuguese riders.

What?....;;;;

Bertagnolli named him as one of the Liquigas riders who went to see Ferrari. But really, I don't see how that alone will lead to him 'going down' - look at what they have on someone like Ballan, and he hasn't.

Either way, I expect Kreuz to be a valuable and active member of SBTB next year.
