With Contadors history and the **** that could yet come up in the Armstrong scandal, Contador would be stupid to assume he has a 100% guaranteed spot at the Tour for 2013.

I wrote (almost) the same as for Contador given his past might be passed over for a TDF 2013 everybody laughed it away...

Nice for seeing someone at least keeps this as a possibility

euskaltel are. they only lack cobbled riders but who cares.

They are pretty crappy at one day races in general. They have Sanchez and that's about it, that's not balanced.

if someone wants to promote bikes or team, at least he should know the facts, or remember Txurruka wore the white jersey on the podium because Bertie already had the yellow jersey.

neither should be.
WT teams should be balanced across the board.

oh oh, the UCI got to Timmy. Can you imagine if all teams had the same sort of demographic? Urgh, please no.

Expect more surprising news about the team Caja Rura
The brothers Velits are one of the possible options for the composition in 2013 season, given their experience into three Grand Tour.
Improved ranking of Peter Velits in la Vuelta'13, would not be a surprise after to his third place in 2010.

Depends on whether Igor Anton is a sleeping volcano or a dead one. If its the former, well, hes usually been as good if not better at 1 day races as he has at stage ones.

Though it is a pretty small Volcano. Like the one on Cunegos planet.

Ion Izagirre will be a pretty useful one-day rider in the years to come too.

What does Quickstep have to do with the obvious flaws of Euskaltel? I didn't know they were in the balance for the remaining World Tour places

For a team with neither good results nor a big budget, that's an impressive feat of transfer juggling. Particularly when you remember that they don't get the points for Roche's minor GC placings and that they won next to nothing.

You'd think that other teams close to relegation or looking for promotion would learn from them, after they brought in so many cheap sporting criterion points last year.

Timmy started this conversation with "WT teams should be balanced across the board." I don't agree with that, but the post was on-topic. If Euskaltel isn't balanced enough then OPQS isnt either.

IMO they realised the best transfers of all teams this season, if you take the budget into consideration. They didn't just get Iranians and Russians like last year but some truly promising riders as well as established ones

just saying euskaltel is a more rounded in ways than team than quickstep, that never get criticised. who have zero for gt's and hilly classics.
