Jack Bobridge Orica-Greenedge > Rabobank

Can anyone shed some light on the Bobridge transfer? He was the 2nd Coming at Garmin, then went to Orica for obvious Oz-related reasons, but now why is he leaving after just one year? I get the impression he's not playing well with others -- or rather, that he's playing rather too well in that environment.

As expected, but a good signing. And nice with a 3 years contract. Given Kreuzigers own statement I reckon the first step will be to rebuild his confidence. I think he will do well on the team. Hopefully the main focus to begin with will be 1 week stage races and helping Berti in the Tour.

EDIT: Kreuziger retweedet this recently, which might indicate he will focus on the Giro again?:

In case you missed it: the Giro d'Italia 2013 will be unveiled on Sunday September 30th! #cantwait

Kreuziger said last year i think that GIro is his favorite race. Sounded like he would like to go through his career like an italian and peak for the giro every year.

No doubt there was a falling out somewhere (with a manager, most likely) and it would have caused too much grief for him to see out the final year of his contract. The whole moving to Rabo to further develop is just PR, we will never know what exactly happened.

That's because most East-Europeans end up in Italy when they become a pro for the first time. Vino ended up in France though.

Riis will probably put him in the Giro(for points) and he'll be a domestique for Contador in the Tour.

On his website he says he doesnt know if he will do any other GT besides the Tour and that he would like to return to the classics. Also he says (on the team website) that he has suffered from lack of self confidence, so imo maybe its time to rebuild that in the one week races.

Yeah, one week stage races could also be a good source of income for WT points.

Or Greenedge don't see him getting a lot of results in the coming 2 years, because the guy clearly needs more time on the road to really become a valuable rider for a WT team. And they've seen with Matthews that Rabobank are desperate for reasonably talented Aussies.

So they just park him at Rabobank for 2 years, and then get him back with a lot more experience under his belt, like Matthews. Rabobank, the Greenedge feeder team ;)

Yeah, I think that Bruseghin, Kolobnev and Zaugg are pretty certain. I also think that Ignatiev might be joining.

Ignatiev, nice he was one of my favourites a couple of years ago when he was on the attack every day in the tour :)

I hope Arroyo comes, I like the way he rode to try and win the Giro. Lot's of guts and determination. I would have preferred him as a winner over Ivan Basso. I haven't really heard much of him this year though, but he was very good last year in the Giro on a couple of climbs. It proved to be too mountainous in the end, but he can certainly be a great domestique for Contador. He's also a great descender, so that's another plus for me.
