Have you calculated a value for IAM as well? They wouldn't be close to getting in the top 20 but it would be interesting to see what kind of points they can get as a new team that isn't focused on buying their way into the WT.

They have 84 points this year

VDB has the most points at Lotto... i don't think they have to fear for the WT status...

I think you misunderstood the way of counting Team Sporting Value. It doesn't depend on WT points only.

Here are the rider points for Lotto :

A.Greipel 282
J.Van den Broeck 105
G.Meersman 46
J.Vanendert 39
J.Roelandts 32
L.Y.Bak 27
G.Bille 10
O.Kaisen 10
B.De Clercq 10
G.Henderson 9
T.Van Der Sande 7
J.Van Leijen 6
S.Cordeel 3
J.Vangenechten 3
K.Dehaes 1
V.Reynès 1

Not many news from Rai's Radiocorsa;

-Pozzato is still in talk with both Farnese and Katusha, waiting for the 2nd one to do its offer
-Saronni is getting all new DS and staff members; he tried to get Guercilena but he's staying at Radioshack and so he's in talk with Zanini and Nardello
-As Damiani might be jobless due to Saronni's choice, he would be a possible candidate if Bettini leave his role as CT (rumors say he wanted to quit)
-Still about Lampre, Cunego not certain to stay but if he does he's asked to work more for Ulissi, and Petacchi will work for Ferrari
-Cancellara wanted to leave for Saxo but not been able to workout the contract's clausole
-The move of Basso from Liquigas to Saxo might be closer to a deal

If true, shame on me... I ruled out this would happen. Still, I don´t really believe it. Team Cannondale would become Team Sagan then.

Makes sense, as guys like Capechchi, Szmyd and Nerz left there are very few Mt domestiques left at Cannondale.

Cannondale will become a sprinters and classics team.

The Interesting effect will be on Kreuziger.

Was he promised sole leadership at the Giro?

Basso will surely be wanting to ride the Giro. He also most probably will be sort of a road captain for Bertie.

Oleg is serious about cycling. Another super-team:mad:

BMC. SKY, RSNT and know SBTB, Basso will go as super domestique at GT.

And Liquigas reduced to Sagan, good for him bad for cycling

No he wasnt.
Did you speak with Bjarne Riis about your goals for the next season and your team role?

Just a little. I will definitely ride some races together with Alberto. I expect to help him at the Tour de France and then there will be other races where I will be the leader and will get more space. Personally, I would like to return to the classics where I haven´t taken part in the last two years. I don´t know yet if I will ride another Grand Tour apart from the Tour de France but I´m sure we will work out a program that will suit me.

Could be a good fit if Basso wants to do the Classics and I'll be interested to see how he does.

I suspect he'sd make a good road captain at TDF, good support for Bertie, could be a formidable team together.

Haha, your ruling it out was the first thing i thought when i read it.

On a side not, Cancellara was unable to move this season, how long is his contract, will he be able to move next year?

Yes his contract will run out after next year. I do reckon IAM will be an option too for him in 2014

There is still some way to go for SBTB to become one of the super teams. They might have the best stage racer there is but they are still quite weak on the classics (especially the cobbled ones), rouleurs and winners.

I think you forget Moser, Viviani and a some very talented youngsters. Cannondale might become primarily a classics team - but what a team.
