I think that is a good move. I believe that he has talent but the past two years have been tough for him with injuries.
Apparently he feels hopeful after his recent surgery. Even though he did not do much after his injuries, he got respect and support from his former teammates at BMC.

How do you know these things, Flo? I love to have that little bird who brings you all the juicy good news. :)

Whats he is saying is that nothing has been made official, so eventhough it might be very likely, one cant present it as a fact that they got their contracts prolonged untill it is indeed official.

Yes, but thats the only real result in his entire career. Before that being prominent in a early breakaway in Paris-Roubaix was his finest acomplishment...

This year he has even had the chance to ride his own chance in many races due to the poor Saxo Team, but he has done nothing and been completely invisible.

I guess he will be very motivated on sunday to repeat the Paris-Tours result, so that he might still get a new contract somewhere else, if he fails again I think he will have to look for a new career. But ofcourse with the fairly similar/evenly poor Gabriel Rasch going to Sky miracles can happen.

Klostergaard is a good rider. He was important for Cancellara in a late breakaway in one of the GP E3's he won. He was working very hard until twenty kilometres to go to help Breschel and Cancellara back to the front in one Paris-Roubaix. Breschel finished tenth in that race. Klostergaard was also fourth in Paris-Correze last month and have had a number of similar results before. He was in the team when Contador won the Giro d'Italia. To say he's one of the worst or compare him to someone like Rasch is plain wrong.

He is not the worst rider of all time or anything, or a complete joke like Margaliot or anything, but he has still never had the quality to justify him being on one of the best teams in the world. An those results/helperefforts you now mention are still very little and very unimpressive over more than 7 years in the protour. Only very few riders has done so little and still been able to get contracts at this level for so long.

All teams with some kind of leader to ride for have riders that don't ride for results. Shrug.

Liquigas: Agnoli, Da Dalto, Dell'Antonia, Canuti, Maranngoni.

Rabobank: Niermann, Wynants, Leezer, Van Emden.

Europcar: Bernaudeau, Bouyer, Claude, Gene.

Omega Pharma: Bandiera, Maes.

Lampre: Righi, Spezialetti, Bono, Kvachuk, Kostyuk.

BMC: Bookwalter, Wyss, Kohler, Lodewyck.

Katyusha: Horrach, Porsev, Smukulis, Vantomme.

Orica: Cooke, Docker, Impey, Lancaster, Meier, Mouris, Vaitkus, Wilson.

Lotto Bellisol: De Greef, Dehaes, Dockx, Kaisen, Neyens.

Cooke came 2nd to Sagan twice this year, Impey won a stage, Lancaster rode good TDF and Giro prologues, Vaitkus came 3rd in a giro sprint this year.

Kohler this year got the leaders jersey at the TDU and won the Swiss RR.
Lodewyck is part of BMC's cobbled talent for the future along with Lander and Phinney.

Those riders all get chances.

On another note Agnoli is a very solid rider, he did great work in the 2010 Giro.

I'm pretty sure agnoli is going to astana with nibali. he said so in giro interview this year

I don't think Agnolli->Astana has been confirmed yet.
The vice-president of the Kazakh cycling federation said that Nibali, Agnolli and Vanotti was going to Astana (link) but then in the official press release only Nibali and Vanotti was mentioned (IIRC).

Edit: Link on Nibali and Vanotti to Astana (no mention of Agnolli):

Danilo Hondo to Radioshack is maybe old news (?) (if so, sorry), I just saw yesterday that it is listed under "official" by radsport.ch.

Looking forward to the combined wisdom of Voigt, Klöden, Hondo and Horner all in one team :D

Well-informed people say me Euskaltel-Euskadi signed Ricardo Mestre (not confirmed yet).

Mestre won Tour of Portugal 2011 and Troféu Joaquim Agostinho (Joaquim Agostinho Trophy) 2011 and 2012.

that rumor has being going around for a while and after last year's mestre to AG2R rumor i will only trully believe it when i see it.

but according to carrovassoura he does carry a nice amount of points so it wouldn't be that much surprising

Nico Eeckhout (41), has extended for yet another year with An Post Sean Kelly. It seems that he's refusing to retire until he's sure that Jens and Horner do so first.

Carmim-Prio big boss called me to say Meste didn't sign yet. Has a good chance to do it, but didn't sign yet.

Pardilla to MTN-Qhubeka
Teruel to Movistar (track cyclist)

Those are two moves right out of left field. Not really sure why Movistar would be going for Teruel, he has little to no results on the road from his time with Contentpolis, and he's 30 so it's not like he's a young project. Maybe they're expecting him to pick up more points from sprint groups in smaller races than Enrique Sanz has been doing, I don't know.

I mean, when they were picking people off the Spanish amateur scene as links to Movistar, Arkaitz Durán made much more sense. He's proven he's way too good as a road cyclist for that.
